Rocket Express!

Rocket Express is the new and only Rocket flying game in this universe! Maybe... I don't know..

You are the commander of the brand new rocket: "MK.KK.Z.1" Your mission is to reach space, or at least try (Well you can't okay, but we can't say that out loud)

Controls:

Basic controls if you ask me

A/S - Steers you to the left or right

Q/E - Pushes out all content of one of the baskets

W - Gives the rocket a little speed boost

Update V2

This update just adds some sounds, to make it less boring. I made most of them mid compo, but hadn't enough time to add them. So here they are!

Highscores:

Post your scores and I will write them in this really beautiful chart! 1. WiZ - 262,051 2. WiZ - 112,572 3. WiZ - 094,965 4. WiZ - 054,221 5. WiZ - 012,580

It took a few tries to get used to the slow-ish steering and how much everything weighs you down, but once it clicked, it was pretty fun to play! My biggest complaint would probably be the lack of polish. Everything felt pretty static. More animated stuff! Little dings when I get a coin! Some indicator when I die (even just a sound effect when I get the game over screen would help a lot). It's a really neat idea that just needs some more time (isn't that the problem with all jam games? :P) Well done!

A nice clean game with interessting gameplay with the theme. I had quite a few strange deaths "position limit" or something like that, not only when pivoting too much. May have something with my resolution (1080p).

I played the 2:nd version, and it was quite nice. Great graphics (especially the bi-plane), physics and sound effects of the coins. Great work.

Hi nice game! Took a while to get the hang of it but it's a pretty cool game. It also is a really good use of the theme. I agree that the game lacks polish but with 48 hours it turned out great. Good job!

Okay the idea was good, and the games graphics was pretty cute. but the control needs some polish and it is really difficult to see why the game ends. Else fine LD game.

And I believe it is the D key that turns the rocket to the right.

Cool idea. Pretty fun to play! But what's "Position limit reached"?

Really cool game, fun idea, works fantastic. Didn't really do very good, even after a few tries I was still messing up, but I had fun doing it, and that's what counts!

Great idea for the theme. I had fun trying to balance the rocket upward. It could've used a bit more audio like more sound effects and maybe some music. Overall, I had fun playing this game.

Looks great and fun idea! I think each coin affects the turning too much, maybe if it was toned down a little and if each coin had a different weight it'd be a little easier at the start.

It really bothers me you are asking for money during the judging period. I'm a 100% behind people doing a post-compo version of the game and charging for money, but it's seems tacky to ask for a tip from other jammers doing reviews of entries.

@mrphil
I am sorry if something bothers you, I do not know where you were asked to pay money to get my game though. I did everything the normal way, with most standard options. If you had to pay any money, send me an e-mail (wizzardmaker@gmail.com) and I will try to get your money back.

Edit:
Okay, I think I found what you meant. I think you talked about the itch.io "pay what you want" page. I am sorry if it bothered you. I rushed the upload of my game and then jut forgot about checking some values. I removed the option to pay anything. Thank you for pointing out.

Really fun concept! I included it in my Ludum Dare 40 compilation video series, if you’d like to take a look. :) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KVo2wMAhnxM
