It's looks fun, but I don't have another player to play it, but cool

I like it. It's simple and could be fun in two player mode. I like the graphics and music.

Only gripe I have is that a single player mode would make it more fun for me.

BTW: I didn't give a high score on theme because I don't really see the shape shifting theme. Looks more like last time's "Growing" theme.

The game is fun for two players. I found a small mistake in the design. When you collected more apples than your opponent, you can kill yourself and win instantly.

I had no partner to test it, but the mood is so friendly! Good job!

Nice music, cool intro graphic, basic game but fun overall, the collision box was kinda weird some times, but still playable, great! good luck there!

Super Cute splash screen. I lacked a second player so it was over too soon.

Solid playable game! The link to the theme seems kinda weak - I guess it's that your snake gets longer as you eat. But yeah, that's just Snake ;)

The bug is so cute! Missed that naughty face during gameplay. Lacking 2nd player too, but played with both hands and feels nice. Good luck :)

tried playing by myself since I had nobody else to play with. Great mood and sound. Gameplay was good to from what I could do by myself. Well done!

Very simple game, I guess you didn't have much time for it :)
Nice graphics tho.

2 players games are bad ideas. People usually are lacking co-player.

4 key controls was another dislike. In classic snake you use two buttons and it should stay like this. The rest of the game is average. I feel that character are moving a little too fast. There is a lot of place for improvements so that to make game more wow.

I have very limited internet transfer so I was amazed to see that such game has 100mb. It's a lot for game like this. As I looked through the files I've seen you kept your sprites at full size scalling them to 0.15 in game. This is bad practice. Scale the sprites - this decreases file size.

the game would not load for me. :(

This runs into issues when both players are jamming keys with input being lost. Also apples can spawn on rocks, that's no good.

Competitive snake is a good idea though. Good execution otherwise, I think.

Oh, the sides of the screen taking health feels a bit unfair. Maybe wrapping would have been better?

The graphics are good and the soundtrack is well produced, well done for putting a game together in such a short space of time. I felt that perhaps this game shows a little bit of why the original snake worked well on a grid system. Also I would have enjoyed a single player mode - maybe with an AI player? Snake AI has got to be a fun thing to do and maybe that should be the first addition to a post-compo version? I enjoyed seeing this.

Really good looking with proper polish, but it's odd to not have a single player variation. As mentioned in other comments winning can be had just by dying at the right time and it doesn't really fit the theme well. Though that may be why "theme" was left out of the voting ;)

Great title screen, and in general the graphics are excellent. Just about playable with one player too :)

nice little game, I think it could be more fun if the "tail" of each bug works as wall to the other player (like tron) so a player can make the other loose. good work!

Fantastic art style, and the pacing actually made it possible to play both players at once. Great atmosphere, put me in a good mood. A bit basic for my tastes, but I could see it being pretty fun given more time and features. Good job!

Hi, nice game ! We're realizing a video with several games of the Ludum Dare #35.
Can you add your game on indiexpo.net ? (it's free)
So we can include also your game in the video ;)
p.s. write #LDJAM in the game's description

Two player competitive snake game, works for what it's trying to do. Audio is pleasant. Doesn't push any boundaries though.

The player characters should probably move on grid lines. From what I can see they don't line up some times and you miss an apple despite most of your sprite covering it.

Nice graphs and music, it only needs sound effects when you eat apples and collision with rocks!
