Boris's Vbar is a FPS-Cooking game that has an objective to kill everyone in the area. You can craft foods into something that is useful for you or useless for you.

This is what the crafting looks like: 28w4cgif.gif

ORIGINAL PLAN:

  • Target of Assasination: this game is supposedly have a target to kill and have optional kill on other civilians but was scrapped.

DEVNOTE:

This is my 3rd Ludum Dare competition. This time I used a different approach by making it have more freedom and fun gameplay. I learnt my previous mistakes for being unfun and quite boring, so I decided in this game you can massacre anyone as you wish. This is also quite a tough week for me, since I have a test (I'm a student btw) during this week so I wasn't able to complete most of the original plan. Hopefully I'll do it better in the next Ludum Dare!

KEYS:

  • Esc - pause
  • 1,2,3,4 - switch inventory weapon
  • E - interact with surroundings
  • Left Click - grab/throw/shoot items or projectiles.

Devnote:

  • The game has some issues with glitches and bugs. I'll fix it later on.
  • Source code will be included.

Good one, but I think it needs a short tutorial or list of crafts.

An interesting idea! It would be great to see this developed further. Perhaps the player could start off in really well-stocked kitchen. I struggled to find a lot of the recipes, so having a cookbook or posters in the kitchen or hidden around the world would be a fun addition that rewards exploring. :) Good job, keep making games!

Wow. was that really made in a compo competition? Impressive! I wish there was a tutorial though, it was hard to understand what I should be doing

Overall fun game concept. The mouse sensitivity seemed really high. I also didn't realize you can run with shift until I had walked around slowly for quite a while.

Definitely needs a tutorial. Possibly make crafting more user friendly, and let us know all the things we can craft. The walking is incredibly slow, while the running/jumping is stupidly fast. You kept the default footstep sound effect, which is glaringly obvious because of how loud it is. You should turn it down a bit. The music during the fighting scenes is really dope, but doesn't loop properly. The enemies can't go up steps, meaning simply crossing the street is enough to loose them. The enemies can also overwhelm you very easily because they simply all lunge at you. These are the things that will need improving, but otherwise cool game concept!
