Great atmosphere, lighting and music, I'm astonished you have recorded a voice of the demon! :D

The game was aesthetically great, all from the pbr materials to low poly models and the sounds, astonishing ...the demonic voice was surprising...the lore thing also fills the theme nicely.

the game was not fun to play, but i had to play it to see the climax.. "what will happen?" etc. but unfortunately i was unable to find the last piece of the 'Uncle'...so i was disappointed...i searched for about 10 minutes.

also what i find more disappointing is that the collectibles clip through walls things etc. i found no use of that light switch, which only disables the lights but the emissions(for bloom) are still intact.

Finally, the piano should animate(being played by an invisible being). :) :v:

@5n1p3r-4r73m1s Thanks for the great comment. The game "not being fun" was a concern I had most of the jam. We were hoping to have a few more puzzle elements to the game to give it more of an escape the room type vibe, but that fell through.

Sorry to hear you couldn't find everything. Most likely the bottle on the piano behind the music stand, or the journal in the desk drawer.

Yeah, we had plans for the lights, but you know... time.

Also, super idea for the piano. I'd love to put that in.

I like the concept of this, it works really well with the theme! the art and models are all really nice, especially the little details like the reflections in the piano, and the voice acting is a cool touch - I think the mouse sensitivity might be a little high which made it a bit harder to find things, but overall I like it!

Excellent critique, I agree with @archimagus assessment of the final product, and I blame myself for any short-comings. I do not know how to code like at all, I was meant to model, texture, and do artwork, but I spent so much time modeling that I forced the rest of the team to do most of what should have been my work.

And for that, I am sorry.

You got the right mood in this one, with the setting and sound design!
A bit simple gameplay but interesting enough to want it to play!
I got stuck after the 3 paintings, I have no clue what to do next.....

Like @5n1p3r-4r73m1s said the game looked realy good but some less micro manage ment would make the game more enjoyable like in the first room(I don't know how many rooms there are becouse I never got throu the brother section) where you have to constantly go back downstairs to change active paintings I suggest to make a jump run or make the character just move faster, but if you want to get rid of the switching that woud be great :) good luck

The audio is the star of this game, excellent work. The graphics are pretty impressive too. There's a lot of walking around though, and it took me forever to figure out you had to touch the paintings first. I did finish the game, though it was kinda tedious.

Would have been nice to learn more about the characters, so that throwing away their memories would actually mean something to me.

Interesting. Great spooky atmosphere. It looks pretty cool. I had trouble picking up some of the items. When I was on the girl I tried picking up the doll in the chest and I couldn't so I moved on, came back later after searching the rest of the room and I could pick it up. I think some kind of feedback on when you can pick up items would be great. Maybe the crosshair enlarges or changes icon, or the item gets highlighted, something to let us know we are looking at something we can pick up.
Otherwise a pretty interesting game

@kypello Thank you playing our game! Itโ€™s funny you mentioned it...we discussed providing feedback when finding items and ultimately decided against it to stay in line with typical โ€œfind the itemโ€ type of games. Were you able to trigger the endgame sequence?
