I'd suggest that the world should be smaller or the screen larger.
I personally loved a lot of the craziness in games like Sonic Spinball, and it would be really interesting to do things like pulling in nearby bumpers when players shoot into black holes, or do light flashes when they hit pulsars, wormholes could take you to alternate areas, and so forth. There is a whole lot you can do with space as your theme, but balancing for difficulty is important and if you do it right it could lead to some very cool things.
The controls were difficult for me, at times, but I feel that practice would make perfect here. I really would've liked sound effects for the ball soaring into the atmosphere and rolling along the scaffolds, etc.
It's a shame, really, because the rest of the game - the presentation, the graphics, the controls, the innovative concept - were all really strong. I think with some polish and features (like an indicator of where the ball is coming from next, say) would go a long way towards making this solid.
