This is actually a really good game! The music (I'm going to assume it was pre-made) was set up nice, especially when you die. It's a pretty quick and fun game with a decent story to it.

@thy-duck Thank you for your comment. Music was not pre-made. Vaclav (our music composer) is very talented and he really managed to create all the music just during those three days. I'm impressed (again) what he is able to do and how quickly! :-)

What a truly old-skuul piece! I like the smooth and straightforward gameplay. The puzzles are fine. There could be more :) Just The amount of story you managed to put into the dialogues is pretty big! I totally love the original music pieces!

I liked the gameplay when I actually got to control the character and get coins. I thought it was nice that the enemies all speed up, making it harder and making the choice of which coins to get first relevant. The story ended up being way longer than it took for me to beat a level, which was sort of frustrating. Not that I don't like story, but I wish there was more time playing the game. It also seemed mostly irrelevant to the gameplay. And the fact that the story resolves without the players input seemed a little strange. I think I would have liked it more if the magic items you collected affected the gameplay.

The music was nice, though. Overall I think you did a good job.

Ended up getting stuck in a wall after I learned I could travel diagonally :). As others have mentioned, the music and music cues were great. Also enjoyed how the enemies moved faster the more coins you grabbed. Great submission, thanks for sharing!

the gameplay is fun but there are some issues that make it frustrating; it's easy to overshoot movement by a tile and run into an enemy. Also sometimes I would move to a tile after an enemy had seemingly left it but I would still die.
It would also be nice if tapping space would display all text instead of skipping to the next dialogue.
Otherwise, good choice of music and well done establishing a world through dialogue. It would have been fun to directly confront Ollay in a level instead of just reading about it

@miziziziz Thank you for your comment. If you press space and hold it it should display all text and when you release it it should skip to next one. BTW, our music has been composed during those 3 days by our (very talented) music composer Vaclav. Yes, collisions are not good and we also would like to confront Ollay in a level but we run out of time. :)

@paveldlouhy oh wow that's very impressive! I thought it was premade because of how high quality it was.

Cool idea and challenging gameplay! The hitboxes seemed a bit too unforgiving and a bit more polish to the coin-collecting mini-games would've made them very enjoyable!

Nice looking and atmospheric game. The presentation and storyline worked for me. The gameplay is very basic though. I would have liked to see more variety and challenge and maybe a puzzle element. There are plenty of "avoid the enemies" puzzle games to draw inspiration from.

The use of the theme was done in a very fun way. Congratulations. I liked art, especially music. The narrative also caught my attention. I would like to see more levels to continue playing. :)

Nice work! I really love the implementation of the theme, it was really fun trying to dodge the monsters while getting coins! And a really impressive amount of dialogue. I would've liked a bit more time put into the graphics, but I think the gameplay being well thought out was worth the time and effort :)

I liked the gameplay idea, and the art / music.

For me personally, there was a bit too much writing to read through compared to the amount of time you played for, but that was okay because I just skipped through most of the text.

Also it would've felt a bit more realistic if when you walked through a door, into the room, you started at the edge of the room besides a door leading back out (even if the door was locked or something).

Other than that, it was a cool entry :).

The best part of your game is puzzle-like game design of levels. I was to think the order of gathering coins and it was a smart gameplay. The music between fight and land is well too.

A lot of text and moving between rooms slow down the game a bit. Sometimes there was so many text that it went outside the screen :D I read it all.. all that I can see.

I heard somewere (GDC?) that it is a great practice to use less then 150 characters and less than 2-3 strings at an every text bubble in dialogs to reduse an amount of player's text skips. Probably, it will be helpfull for your next RPG games! :D

This was a great game! The audio is epic! The plot is really interesting, I see you really put great work into it. The first time I entered a house I kept going and died multiple times by colliding with an enemy. At first I didn't really notice what happened. Maybe there is some way to prevent this, I can't really see how without intruding much though. Overall, I only missed some kind of boss fight, I was a bit disappointed about that as I was so enthralled with the plot.

Once again, the audio is really good, with improved art and a boss fight, you'll have the base for expanding the story and go deeper against Ollay! Congratulations!
