Shape Shift by thatguyarch
This is the first Ludum Dare I've done, and it was a lot of fun. I didn't get all of the things done that I wanted to, but it was still a fun experience.
This game is fairly simple. For movement, the only thing you need to do is rotate the shape with your mouse. The key mechanic of this game is the, as you might expect, shifting from one shape to another. Using A, S, and D, you switch between a blue triangle, a red star, and a purple, uh, 8 sided star. There are tiles on the ground that will cause you to start over if you are not the same color as the tile. You can pause by pressing escape (although it can be glitchy, especially on the last level.)
It's got a couple problems. The main one is that some resolutions mess with the overlays, but most high resolutions are fine. The other problem is if you move the cursor too close to the shape, as it often doesn't register the angle if it's right by the sprite.
I suppose I should put a warning in here about flashing lights, as you will probably experience that over the course of playing this game. So yeah, consider yourself warned.
Update: Original game was faster than intended, so I included an "easy version," which is significantly slower. I would recommend this if you want to get through the game in a timely manner, but if you want a challenge, you can still play the fast version.

I think it would be better if the BG does not change color along with the shapes, but the game is very fun! Congratulations!
but it really was never an issue. The graphics were nice where the background changed color to match the player. It all fit together and had a nice style.
Partly because I have hard differenciate the blue and purple colors. :)
You don't need pdb files in builds, by the way, they are just for debugging.
