Life Path by kristinnes
The theme for Ludum Dare 44 was "Your life is currency", so in this game you start out deciding what you will do with your life. you "spend" your life on work, fun or family.
(The game is playable here : https://kristinnes.itch.io/path-of-life)
After You have decided how you want to spend your life a variety of events based on your choices. F.x, you will get work related events when your life is in a work phase.

In the end the game will tell you how you will be remembered after your death. If you do well, you will be told how you will be remembered reflecting the choices you made.

It was frustrating when unexpected things happened, but it was a perfect simulacrum for life.
Here's my "legacy":

Looks great, and the writing is nice.
Music is a nice touch, fits the mood perfectly and repeats without getting annoying.
The main thing that would improve this game would be adding more scenarios.
Good job!
Love the idea of it, plays nice as well. Artstyle is fine, everything reads clearly (besides the three buttons, they make it look like there is right and wrong options... when in fact there isn't, is there?)
Music is nice as well.
Great job.

Reminds me of Alter Ego on DOS wayyyy back. - https://www.abandonwaredos.com/abandonware-game.php?abandonware=Alter+Ego%3A+Male+Version&gid=1495
I ended up broke but at least I was liked well enough!

Thanks for the awesome game, best of luck!
Just 2 design issue:
- The colors of the buttons makes me want to always go for the green one, even knowing sometimes it is bad, try making the 3 of them with the same color.
- The choosing how will be your life part is a little clunky, a better approch should be by pressing firstly on the type of square and then on the square itself.

Congrats on the game ^^

I like the simple style and the choices you can make.
It's creative and I'm excited to see more in the future, maybe with a few more opportunities!
Great work!
