Deadline by Sn4pi

Banner2.png Deadline is a game about setting up chain reactions to cause the biggest accident possible. You control a Reaper who, due to procrastination, has to amass 1000 human souls in a single week - or get into some major trouble with ol' Satan.

Shopkeeper Greed's gadgets will help you set up chain reactions to maximize your, uh, efficiency.

All actions in the game are performed with the Mouse, especially the left mouse button for most of the time. You can hold left click when placing Propane to choose a launching angle.

HINT : If you struggle with the chain reactions, there are some puzzles on the map that can give you an early edge in souls or a late bonus to get those thousand souls.

Hahaha the way the dudes freak out really cracked me up. The idea behind this I think works kinda well. With some time for polish and stuff I could see this being something.

I was a bit confused as to how to play this properly, took me a while. I found myself messing about quite a bit and I'm not too sure about the movement decision. Perhaps it would have been a bit more intuitive with WASD+Mouse or click to move?

Either way, it's a very funny entry! Great job :)

Coool game. The graphics are very good and audio too.

It was very funny especially when they started running. Also I liked the start menu style. I know that is a small think but anyway it improves experience of playing this game. I think the controls where a bit hard. But anyway that is a great game. Nice job!

P.S. I'm happy to see that others use Game Maker too

This is a great entry! The premise is funny and well presented, as are the events in the game. Sending people flying around was good for a couple of laughs!

The mouse gameplay was a little too sensitive, sometimes it made it hard to stop moving all over the place. As another person mencionted, maybe controlling with the WASD would give the player more precise controls. Other than that, great entry, funny and original!

this is friggin hilarious. I think the end of the turn lasts a bit too long after everyone is dead, but it's a really funny premise. nice work!

This is crazy hahah! I loved the interpretation of the theme and the overall scenario. I never managed to carry over any explosives to the other side of the road as I had a hard time controlling the characters with the mouse. Seeing the chaos once the chain reaction has started was well done. Overall very good :)!

I loved your art style and brand of humor! I had the most fun trying to figure out the puzzles, and exploring how the items interacted with each other. I think I might have been more successful if there was just a little more direction in terms mechanics, and safer environments to experiment in (I got myself killed trying to cross the street on many occasions, haha). Maybe i'm just not very good! Overall, it's a great concept, and very funny!

I realy looked forward to trying out all of these items, but i couldn't pass the road without everybody panicing, so i never managed to do anything else then letting all people die by car accidents. But the Idea is great and i would love to see a bigger version of this with a better movement systhem and some explanation on how to play it propperly!

This game looks nice and plays quite well. I'd say the controls could use a bit more explaining in-game and the music is a tad simple. An interesting game and it was executed quite well. Nice work!

Really interesting mechanics, very well introduced too, loving the multiple situations you can put the masses in, very intuitive too! Didn't have to read a bunch of instructions to play the game, but rather just start and experiment

Was slightly difficult to learn to cross the road, but became very fun afterwards, especially after figuring out how every tool in one's arsenal works!
The graphics and sound effects are surprisingly on-spot as well!

Pretty fun to just mess around with stuff. The poison is super strong though! Every time I used it, I got about 300 souls, with hardly any effort. I also tried some chain reactions with explosions, but I was never nearly as successful as with poison. I'd love to see a version of this with more interactions between things, maybe if you plan to release a post-jam version.

Funnily enough, we didn't nerf poison so it could be a safety net for beating the game. We got most stuff in the game, but failed on a lot of the fine tuning. Thanks for the feedback.

Wonderful pixelart! The game reminded me a lot of infectonator, with those cute graphics and chilly music. I really loved that game. The phase when people are just feeling is a little bit long. Maybe finish it after a certain time without anybody dying? Nice use of the theme by the way and obviously an awesome job ;-) Keep making games!

I enjoyed that. The game is a lot of fun, the sound and the art are good. I spent some time playing and I really loved it. I admit that it took me a while to figure out how to play and a little more to figure out that I had to click on the other purchase options, I thought they were blocked or that I needed to use the arrow keys, but I never imagined that I just click the lines. I believe that some feedback would help with this, a caption, change the color when the mouse over or even a selection equal to the start screen between "start" and "exit"
