Shinigami's new assignment by Sun-Wukong
Play as a little shinigami(angel of death) on a quest of collecting human souls in order to avoid your own demotion. It actually started from motto "YOUR life is MY currency" and I was going to use souls as money to buy upgrades but ss the game development progressed, it gone further and further from theme with cutting out all the features I couldn't implement in time, lol.
Even though the gameplay part itself pretty much completed, there is still unfinished parts even though I gone for the Jam. Especially sounds that are random and not completed. (Title screen also was drawn in like 5 last minutes)
Controls:
Arrows or WASD - movement
Space - jump
z,x,c,v,b,n or m - attack
!Update: I have found and fixed bug at last. Also fixed missed collisions on some levels and did a small tweaks to hitboxes so crows wouldn't be so hard to hit. Now it is at least almost without bugs if still unfinished.

The artwork is really nice, I like the little Shinigami Shina. :) I enjoyed the conversation between her and Enma and it was what kept me playing, to see more of their interaction.
The combat mechanics could use a little improvement in my opinion. Being unable to move while attacking lead to a lot of damage by crows that could have been otherwise avoided.
Hmm, that strange, I did playtest all levels for them to be at least passable. I'll look it up.
The mood you manage to conjure is incredible. It's even better because of the goofy contrast with the dialog scenes. Trying to impress ~~Bowsette~~ Emna was an amazing experience!
Purrseus, thanks.
I overall liked it but it would have helped if you polished it up by having less levels that are better designed instead of having a bunch of mediocre levels. More dialogue during the cutscenes would have also been nice.
