Crowdsurf by Joe Cowman

Crowdsurf is a game about improvisation.
You play a band's lead singer who has forgotten the lyrics to his songs during a concert. It's your job to come up with new lyrics that match the original themes of your songs.
The game consists of 3 songs. At the start of each song, you'll be given a short list of keywords. You're scored based on how well your lyrics relate to these keywords. You can also earn points for having clever rhymes.
For example, if the keywords are "glass," "orange," and "game," you could write the following line:
> Pour me a glass of that juice
The word glass is a direct match to one of your keywords, but the word juice is related to glass and orange. Therefore, this line would earn you three matches!
Controls
While a song is playing, you sing just by typing a line of lyrics and pressing enter.
You can also do any of these actions during a song by typing an asterisk (*) before the command. * key - View the song's keywords. * stop - End the song early. * ??? - What could this secret command be?

Some of the rhyming detection seemed a bit off, but its understandably hard to make work well in text form, especially with different accents. Great idea and good execution!
This was very fun to play, and I laughed quite a bit. First time I played the crowd wasn't very satisfied :D but the second time was the charm. I sure hope you're collecting what the players are typing in, so that you can get a good laugh too :) Great entry~!

Thank you so much for this experience and good luck in the future! Have an awesome day, and I hope to see you in the next jam!

Your greatest lyric was "i like to conclude with a cat" (+11 Points)
Your worst lyric was "oh yeah " (-5 Points). - I think your algorithm needs some adjusting to compensate for down rating tried and true lyrical cliches here ;)
they key to success is setting up some easy words to rhyme i think i discovered the secret to writing lyrics.
Great game jam idea.
I understand the text choice for a game jam i'll consider that a good mood/theme, but i think it would be better with some graphics and feedbacks. Maybe you could let players sit as public or singers, and let them give a note for lyrics
Great job
Here's my game : https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/41/blocksnblaster-1
My experience with writing lyrics in "real life" is pretty much exactly as its depicted in the game. So much so that this could totally be reworked (or just used as) a tool for helping develop creativity.
A very good game. I had problems understanding the concept until i learned that related words count. And i could not figure out when to use the secret command, it kept telling me it wasn't the right time, even at 100% in the last song.
Great job btw
