The year is 2119 and Earth has long been left behind. You play as a brave Space Explorer, who's job it is to find find useful resources in space. It's the future, so money is not used anymore, everyone uses fuel instead, but it is also keeping you and your space ship alive. You can drop supply shuttles down to asteroids to build different building, ranging from:

Building Icons.png

  • House. Houses are used to house people and people are used to load resources to your space ship. Every house can house up to five people, but it will take some time for people to get born.
  • Drill. Drills are used to dig up resources, those resources are then collected by the people living on the asteroid. You can collect resources from an asteroid by landing on it, but don't place too many drills on a planet, they will not work as efficiently, so you have to find more asteroids.
  • Rocket Silo. A rocket silo is used to launch other space ships. Space ships have linked resources, so you do not have to worry about that.
  • Barrack. Barracks are used to keep people more calm, but you still have to watch out, a riot might start and then you are going to lose buildings. If you land your space ship on an asteroid, then people will calm down.
  • Observatory. Observatories are used to discover new asteroids and what resources they are.
  • Refinery. Refineries are used to refine ores, this means that you will get more out of the asteroids, both ores and rocks.

An asteroid can only have one of five resources on them, these are indicated by the color of the radar arrow.

Controls

  • You steer the the space craft, by using the 'arrow keys' or 'WASD'

Cool use of physics! A tutorial would of help under what each structure does since it wasn't super clear.

Ok I probably just spent like 30 minutes playing, and I really like it a lot. What helped me was when I realized each planet has its own type of resource. I love how the scale of things rapidly increases, making you watch what you spend so you don't get stranded. I think I got a vague idea of what some of the buildings did, e.g., 'extractors' and 'observatories.' But I wasn't sure. I had fun though!

I played it for awhile, not sure what i did but the player lost control and rocketed into a planet infinitely

Took me a little while to really understand what I was doing, but once I did I enjoyed it. Good concept!

I like the concept - the physics engine for moving between the planets was fairly well done as well, if a bit slow to take off from the planets and a little too zoomed-in to navigate fully. As one of the other commenters mentioned the definitions for each building could be clarified a bit, and it seems like there's a lot of sitting around waiting for resources to accumulate at the moment, but it should be easy to rectify that with additional buildings, upgrades and gameplay mechanics in the future. Nice job!
