5h1ft by AlmightyTuna

[raw]
made by AlmightyTuna for LD35 (COMPO)
You have broken into a government facility to steal the 5h1ft prototype weapon. A weapon capable of shifting into any number of conventional firearms, the problem is, you don't know how to use it.

Your goal is to reach the teleporter in each level, however, your gun keeps randomly shapeshifting... Good Luck!

Controls:
WASD: Movement
Mouse: Look
R: Override gun
Space: Dodge

Game live until you meet new weapons.
But after that.. A very small rect able to see - You can jast run into an enemy. If you will make moar space under the camera, you can add moar shots\enemies\collones ito the room.

Good use of theme. Difficulty should ramp up more. Got to boss on level 6(7?) on first run, then died. Maybe allow restart at current level instead of back to beginning?

It was nice enough. Graphics not the best, but I like the ammo casings. :) Also it was a bit difficult sometimes to get into corridors horizontally, a bit tight.

The best thing about this game for me are the knockbacks from weapons. Makes shooting twice as fun!

Doesn't really fit the theme, but it's still a fun game. I like the music.

Had fun playing this, it's pretty good. For a Compo Entry, it's very average (which is good).

A bit confusing, but the dual weapons are really cool.

Performed quite poorly at higher levels.

The webGL build performs fairly poorly, the other builds are far better. Haven't worked with webGL before this

Cool top-down shooter! I liked how each weapon encouraged me to take on a different strategy. Some certainly felt preferable to others, or I felt like the shotgun gave me the most productivity compared to the double pistol. The music was really fitting too.

Played with WebGL on OS X. Thanks for porting it to Chrome!

Interesting game mechanic with the shifting weapons! Doors were pretty hard to pass through and I'm not quite sure if the grenade launcher was working properly. Pretty looking game though, audio could maybe do with being a bit higher tempo perhaps? Fun, nice work!

Thanks for the webgl export. Okay... I played this far longer than I probably should have. Fun with different guns, although I'd have expected a bit more challenge maybe? When I decided to stop playing I had to work towards getting myself killed, with 15 health collected etc.

Nice game! The only problem for me was the difficult to entry between hallways.

Awesome game. Although there was a bug in the boss fight where if you get the last weapon (do not know what it is called it is a gun that just sprays and give you a big knockback). I accidentally used that to get out of bounds with the game XD

The soundtrack was very enjoyable: Smooth, linear beat with a sci-fi touch that made it easy to loop it over and over and doesn't make you feel tired of it.

Dual weapons felt a bit uncomfy but looked good! Great job for a compo.

I really liked the variety of weapons, and the nice aesthetic touches such as the screen shake when shooting :)

Good game! I like how with each different weapon the movement speeds up or slows down and the recoil effects are all different. The music and sound effects were on point. The control was smooth and the rules were easy to understand.
I was looking for something more after the first level but it was mostly the same things over and over again. The theme interpretation could be a little better, but I still liked the idea a lot.
Overall it was fun! :)

I really like that each gun is different and the procedural level design. Was kind of confused when my gun started shifting randomly even though I wasn't pressing R.... I may be a little confused by the rules but good game!.
