One thing that I would improve is the fighting system. To me it felt quite random which troops lost. Furthermore it's kind of an advantage for the player that he can attack multiple times, but the AI can just attack once per round. Apart from that, solid gameplay.
P.S: I rated your game, good luck!
The only improvement I can think of would be to provide some indication when a new troop is spawned. Also multiplayer mode would be awesome if I could find some people to play it with :)
But I'm going to be brutally honest, I found it incredibly boring. I started in the Americas and the game was completely just moving my squares around to unclaimed area. Sometimes, I moved them onto enemy territory. Still not particularly interesting. In my opinion, this game, unless a major new mechanic is included, is unsalvageable. But, if I would recommend one thing, it would be that you can select "Next turn" with the keyboard because going down there with the mouse when I was taking 10 turns/second was really annoying.
Actually, the difficulty seemed trivial, I started as the only person in the Americas, they were all in Asia, and the AIs attacked each other so much by the time I got there they were mostly worn out... having a handicap for being a human player would be good. On second glance, it seems starting locations are random, maybe this will be more difficult if I play again starting near the enemy...
I also wasn't quite sure when I got new troops. And the battle system didn't quite seem to make sense to me, as I won nearly all battles, even if I had less troops than the opponent.
I'd love to play this some more if there was a bit more strategy. For example choosing where to place new troops. Or some kind of bonus that you could unlock for your troops.
Overall, well done!
