Petit Adventure by Sun-Wukong
Little world with two little witches living on it. And one of them just caught some trouble.
Tried to make a JRPG game this time, but the goal was too hight for 2-3 days of work. Didn't complete even half of the planned features, alas. (And my neighboors decided that these holidays was a perfect time for drilling walls all day long)
Reused some of the assets of my previous LD game since this game is a direct sequel to it. Music from free sources.

Edit: I couldn't not to fail and upload game without fatal bugs, of course. First version had a bug that prevented ending to be displayed, again. I fixed it and couple other minor bugs and reuploaded fixed versions. No ending bugs now, only spiders!

Thanks for your comment btw. I will update our site accordingly.
I wasn't able to beat the final boss, but it makes sense as I rush next to enemy on the way that could have give me plenty XP. I'll play it again later on my own just to see the end scene :)
Very well put together game, congratulation.
(You can see me playing this game for the first time on the vod https://youtu.be/34z-nBWKdEw?t=2h35m3s )
Good luck and greetings from AGDG.

The bug occured when I picked up the bunny. after that: Spiders everywhere! :D
Besides that i really enjoyed the playthrough.
I like the mechanics, visuals, storytelling (kawai dayooooo!!1!) and the level design.
Overall quite polished game, good job! ^^
The game-play is straight-forward and pretty hard until the first level-up.
Still good job.
The game is fun to play but the enemies makes the game unfair. I dont know, perhaps a way to heal yourself with something makes the progression easier to do. Difficult needs to be polished.
Anyway, is a good game for a jam. Great work!
character walk animation can be improved.
对了,你是华人吗?
I wonder if the people saying it's too hard, didn't find the Double Beam item. It's not exactly in an obvious location, and without it I'm not sure the game is completable. The early enemies need to be easier, or you need to start with more HP. Other than that, though, very nice.
I will say, in the MacOS version on Google Drive, the ending still doesn't work. Also, fighting the final boss, I still took damage on rounds I was not actually attacked, and still survived with negative hit points. I may try the itch.io download later to see if I can find the fixed version. But regardless, overall a great entry. One of the nicest looking I've seen yet.
Also, I know you sourced the audio from outside sources, so you don't get a rating on it, but I will say, you picked it well, it really adds to the atmosphere of the game.
for example:
a restart button on the game over screen.
the bad thing about this feedback, though, I apparently was in the mood for punishment so the curve of learning was pretty satisfying(all up until finding out about the double beam on the comments).
besides that, the graphics were cute, the system was nice, the balance was weirdly satisfying.
Well Done
Just kidding… ;-) I saw it in the description and had to laugh. Something similar happened to me also during ludum dare… (my baby was crying but I turned into something good and we named the whole game after his “aaarrr” sounds ;-)
Ok back to normal… To be honest I did not play your game - but I liked the “timelaps video” you created. (And I was impressed by your artwork) I also noted down Godot and Krita since I saw both tools in your video and… your graphics are wonderful… Congratulations! Like it… will play it sometime if I’m not sitting in front of a company laptop. (Where I have no rights to install something)
Webplayer next time? ;-)
There is a spelling mistake, In the spider ladies tower, it says "you dont **hand** over the cauldron here" and don't is missing an apostrophe.
The art is absolutely gorgeous, but an idle animation on the main character would have been nice.
The dialog in well written, enough detail to set the story without being so much that it was annoying to read. And thank you for not doing the unskipable one letter at a time typey text.
The first combat I had a laugh at the music. It's the same music I used for my previous Ludum Dare game [Warehouse Shuffle](http://ludumdare.com/compo/ludum-dare-37/?action=preview&uid=92172) Kevin Macleod is amazing.
Very fun game.
This is an amazing entry. The art is absolutely beautiful. I know that the gameplay is classic and that's why I like it more. With obvious differences but he reminded me to Child of Light. Congratulations!
Maybe next time you can add/improve some audio.
Overall Nice game.
