Hitchhiker in the galaxy by jacklehamster
This entry was made kinda in a rush for Mini Ludum Dare #42.
The theme was "Earth will be destroyed / Hitchhiker's Guide to the galaxy".
Although I didn't know much about "Hitchhiker's Guide", I decided to make the game based on that.
To play, you just type the name of planet, press [ENTER], and a spaceship will pick you up and drop you there.
Your ultimate goal is to find the "dream planet".
If you're stuck, go to planet "TUTORIAL".
This game was also inspired by a strange 80's game called Captain Blood. Back then, me and my friends played that game, which had a very strange concept: Putting random coordinates and visiting a random planet, and if you were lucky you could encounter an alien and communicate with it.
Later, I realized you don't have to put random coordinates. You're supposed to visit the first planet where you start, and the alien there will give coordinates to the next place to visit, and so on. So in "Hitchhiker in the Galaxy" (this game), you can just put a random name of a planet. If you're lucky, you might end up meeting an alien. Please note that I couldn't spend much time on this, so there aren't many random planets. However, I'm keeping a database of planets that players visited, and the most popular entries will have something there the next time. So as you're playing the game, you contribute into making this strange experience a bit more interesting.
Thank you!

That's fun... Like the spaceship movement and the comments on different planets.

I can't resist writing naughty things on the sign!
