Whale of a Tale by Spelchan

You are a whale. To keep your energy up you must eat krill which thrive on plankton which is the green dots in the top portion of the ocean. To stay alive you must avoid being hit by harpoons. The longer you live the higher your score. Hint, while you can swim through fish, harpoons don't so try to keep a fish above you if you can. This was done using the Jam rules so I had some help with the art.

Funny idea, but gets boring too fast.
Maybe some sounds and music in the backround.
And think about some better particles ;)

I really liked the opening picture. I think comic sans actually works here. The in-game whale was a bit smaller then expected.
For me it could have been a lot harder. Maybe some tweaking in the amount of spears and the amount of krill. maybe it can become harder ove time.
Your mouse controls work a lot better than in my game. I could have used that!
I enabled sound and it was much too loud!

I also looked at your site and there is a lot of stuff there!

The graphics were cute, clean and colorful, controls were ok, sound was... not very good. I thought that running out of energy would kill you, but it only slows you down. Is that supposed to be like that ?

Fun fact : The whale keeps wiggling it's tail even long after he is dead...
