Shark Attack by ludvichzme

[raw]
made by ludvichzme for MINI41 (-)
You are something like a Life-Guard on a square-shaped boat, and you have to defend swimming people against angry sharks.
It's a top down shooter, inspirated from "Nuclear Pizza War".

Ah, and there is no wave limit. The game continue 'til you or your "base" is destroyed.
What will be your best score ? :D

Controls :
Z/Q/S/D or Arrows : Move your ship
Left click : Fire
Space : Drop some blood in the water to attract sharks
P : Pause the game

Requirements :
* a .net runtime (.net framework 4 or Mono 2.10.8)
* OpenAL (http://connect.creativelabs.com/openal/Downloads/oalinst.zip)

Installed requirements, but didn't run. Simply crashes. Could you pack a version without dependencies?

Have you installed open al (http://connect.creativelabs.com/openal/Downloads/oalinst.zip) and the "full" .net framework (not just the Client Profile - if you're running windows) ?
I'm not sure to understand what you mean by "without dependencies", since .net is required to launch the game :/
Do you have any error message when it crash ? Thanks

Ok, works with this version of open al now. But please don't make me install two programs again :( Installing .net is ok, but some people (including me) are butthurt about installing something else they don't know for a LD entry. But I am sure there is a way to compile a "release version" that doesn't have (both) dependencies.

Ok, enough hatin'. :) The game itself is good! Looks good, sounds good, nice balance, and actual tactics involved. But why no WASD? ZQSD is a real pain on German keys :S

Thanks for your review :).
For OpenAL, I'm looking if I can put the DLLs in the package (so no installation will be needed), so it'll solve this problem.
For the .net runtime, I don't have other solutions (otherwise I should use another language).

Back to the game : You can use either ZQSD or Arrow keys (I'll try to update the entry to add this information).

I'll take care of all those points for my future games.
And yep, I'm a frenchie :D

Pretty good. Sound OK, graphics nice.
I didn't need to install anything, so I guess I was lucky :)
I didn't see immediately what my base was.

Good one. Just a little bit too hard. And some better indication on what the items I collect actually do would have been nice.
