Eternal Eclipse by wilcort

[raw]
made by wilcort for MINI41 (-)
This is my first entry and it is a very early build. However, it is playable. Each race has it;s own, unique play style that is not, for the most part, stereotypical.

Hey, could you describe what I'm supposed to do and what the numbers mean? This looks really awesome, like a zombie survival game with... elfs? :D Controls are a bit weird and scrolling is laggy. But other than that great! Please make a post compo version :)

Oh, and the music is great, too. How did you make it?

All the sounds are simply royalty free sounds I found on the internet. The numbers at the end are your score, and as a famous show once said, "the points don't matter". The top number in the human "campaign" is your shells and the bottom one your clips. The whole goal is simply to survive. Also, f1 is the help button for anyone who had trouble.

It looks and sounds very moody, very nice. Nice lighting and apropriate environment for each class. I think the very blocky sprites do work.
It looks like a sort of action RPG, but it could use some more RPG elements or tweaking of difficulty. I had the feeling, that no matter how good you are, you will die very quickly (hmm, my game has that problem as well).

Cool game! is there a way to pickup ammo as a human? I couldn't figure out how. Love the minimalistic style. I think those are the (proportinally) largest elf-ears I have ever seen :) What's up with that "repair barrier" option? I didn't find out how to use it because I died pretty fast. Also not to get stuck on walls could be a minor thing to make better. But over all - nice!

To fix barriers and pick stuff up, use the middle mouse button. There's a small town to the west in the human map where there are doors with planks of wood in them. Those are the broken barriers. Also, I'm still working on this game and the whole getting stuck on walls issue: fixed.
