Not sure why this was. The graphics aren't heavy and the AI seems simple enough... To be completely honest, I have no idea why its lagging, on my computer it is working perfectly. The only reason I can think of, and this is a tested solution on many PC's I've checked is to update your Java plugin to the latest one. This is why this game does not work on macs with an os lower than 10.7, because they don't support Java 7.
