I like the pixel-graphics, and I think quite everybody loves hacking away at a million of zombies.

An attack animation would have been nice - first I thought my hero didn't attack at all. Also, the zombies often get drawn below the blood splashes and can't be seen as a result (sort them before drawing?)

With a little more time this could be really cool - maybe you give it the final polish now after the LD over?

Finally a question: why did you choose "Windows" as a platform? Anybody with an installed JAVA-Runtime can simply double-click the .jar and play on (writing from a Unix machine).

There are attacking animations, it's just that only the guns do. I made attacks for the others, but they just looked ugly, and I was running out of time. I also kept the zombies under the blood splashes because they could hide, and it would make it more "fear like". And I would love to polish a LOT now that the LD is over. Your right... I should have thought that through that writing an executable from batch was a bad idea...

A fun little game, quite enjoyable.

Level design with walls, perhaps water (zombies swim but you can't?) and such would be a nice way to extend it.

I had no problem running the jar-file on linux.
