Trolls VS Normal People by dcolgan
Well, I sort of have a game. The idea was supposed to be such that you are a guy leading good discussion, while the trolls are trying to convince the peons to also become trolls. When you touch a peon, you "discuss" with them and convince them to participate in good discussion. If a troll touches a peon, he tries to convince them to become trolls. If a peon touches another peon, the one closer to being a good person or a troll convinces the other to become what they are.
A peon moves right if it is more good than bad, and is green. It moves left it is more troll than good, and is red. The sort of goal is to get all of the peons to the rightmost side.
The only controls are the arrow keys. Left and right move left and right, and up is jump.
Though the game is not finished, I certainly learned a lot, and plan to participate in the full contest coming up in a few months. I also learned Javascript better and learned the HTML5 canvas API. Thanks for checking out my entry!

I had fun with it trying to prevent the peons from falling in the bad conversation pit. I also found really rewarding to watch them fall in the good conversation pit. I think you should explore the mechanic a little more, it seems to have potential.

Like the mechanic - runs rather insanely fast on my laptop though, which prevents any attempt at tactics - just had to flail and hope :)

Interesting game. It becomes a lot easier when the trolls fall into a pit and a lot harder when you fall into a pit.

Cute idea, like one of those 2D sidescroller RTS things, but web-meme themed? It would be cool to make your own units / "make your own memes" or something

Interesting idea - I could see this working quite well in a top-down view as modeling the spreading of ideas in a town. Thanks for the game!

Very interesting concept. The mechanic for the game was fun and full of variety, though we didn't have much time to devise tactics.

Really cool concept! Ran so fast I couldn't keep up, but this was a very original, interesting and smart thinking game prototype. Keep working on this (with better graphics) as I think you might be on to something!
