acquiescence by Zillix

[raw]
made by Zillix for MINI27 (COMPO)
acquiescence is a brief game. no playthrough will last longer than 2 minutes, and a speed run can be finished in about 20 seconds.

it's a game about the choices we make, and the choices that are made for us

controls:
arrows: make a choice
space: move quickly

ultimately, there is only one ending
functionally, there are two endings
effectively, there are five endings
but in reality, the ending doesn't really matter

I tried until I got all the endings. Really pretty the way you used only squares. Well done :)
Expecting to see some more.

That's sad and beautiful in more ways than one. Well done evoking emotion from a great text!

Very nice. Love the time pressure and the variety of combinations from a simple set of choices. Good job!

Very cool once you figure out what's going on. Love the squarish out work. It's actually a bit tricky to get the outcomes you want, and addictive enough to drive you to check out all the endings. Fantastic!

Great game! Got all 5 effective endings. It's sort of sad how all of the possible party members refuse to work together. I think yellow and blue could make a nice team.

This is my favorite game in the competition - the mechanic strikes a clever balance and the looks are appealing. Nice job!

AWESOME! I love the mechanic, love the way you have to think fast, and love the art. Pretty damn great overall. I would love to play a longer game using this mechanic - imagine a huge quest and big story filled with quick-thinking decisions and an epic storyline... this game is very inspired. Well done!
