Cat Shapestift by guckstift

[raw]
made by guckstift for LD35 (COMPO)
Unfortunately unfinished.

This is a platformer game with a cute cat that can crunch some cat food on its journey to get fatter. Being fat enables the cat to break through crumbly walls, but also makes her slower and lazier. Running and jumping is like working out and gets it thin again.

Controls: ArrowLeft and ArrowRight to run, Space/ArrowUp to jump and ArrowDown to eat from a full bowl.

Hey. Nice concept for the game. Pretty funny. The game mechanics were good, also the animations. Levels could be better though. :)

That kitty is so adorable! I love the animation and the gameplay idea could've resulted in something really awesome if only you'd have had more time and less problems with the collisions. Next time I expect great things from you! :)

Oh, and one thing that really bothers me: Where in this game is the stift that gucks?

(Also, not a single meow was heard that day...)

Nice interpretation. Jumps might feel a little better if you added downward momentum every frame to simulate gravity, instead of having a set up/down speed.

Not much to see but it could've been a clever little entry with just a little more content

Interesting representation of the theme. The jump movement felt very "floaty", but I think with more to show it could be a fun little game.
