Survival Purgatorium by Beefsports

[raw]
made by Beefsports for LD35 (JAM)
This is an endless wave survival type game where you play as alternately a helpless robot (you just need to run) and a dragon (you have to kill the AI robots). If you run out of lives as a robot you lose and need to restart. If you kill a robot as a dragon you gain an extra life for the next round you are as a dragon.

Fire1/2 (default left/right mouse click) to start the game.

Made in Unity.

Itch.io link provided to download standalone exe or play using Unity WebPlayer. WebPlayer is not displaying robot correctly on my computer so downloading it may be the best choice.

Thanks and Enjoy!

I like the general concept. However, game appears to be a little imbalanced - it's much easier in the robot mode than in the dragon mode, especially because robots run much faster than you do and you can't see them approaching from far away. I'm not sure how do the world borders work - there appears to be an abyss, but you don't fall through and just teleport somewhere.

Also, there appears to be a bug. In a web version, robot looks like this for me: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/20069183/LudumDare35/Comment%20Screeshots/Survival%20Purgatoriam%20Bug.JPG

I really liked the mood the most. The concept is neat, where you shift back and forth between attacked and defender.

The attacking was a bit difficult though, as I never really new what my attacks were doing (there are two) and which way they'd go (left or right).

I also had the issue with the main player looking weird. http://imgur.com/p3xRjTx

If I can see health bar of enemy or my own it will be more interesting. And dragon handling very challenging
