this is my first try at physics. not realistic physics but collisions. im not sure why its so glitchy. if someone tells me why its glitchy i will send them a cookie in a box. It might be an envelope. it might be in a year.

of course I don't know your exact implementation, but it seems the cube falls, collides, the code displaces the cube so it doesn't collide any more, it falls, collides, etc. I would make a boolean that tracks whether it is currently resting on a platform, and if this is true, you just don't apply gravity. also, to check if the cube is able to jump just check this variable. this little writeup (not mine) might also be interesting :)
