For the third level (where people get stuck): In order to select another object, you must be the same 2D shape as that object! Once you place one shape on a button, rotate it, and then select the other. Place it, then reselect the first, and rotate it to match the button.

IMPORTANT: Please leave honest and blunt feedback. Saying something is alright when it isn't doesn't help me learn. Be brutal.

Best with headphones.

You play as a phantom that can hop from object to object to open a portal to hop through.
However, you can only hope to an object that has the same shape as the one you currently are possessing. Circles to circles, squares to squares, rectangles to rectangles and squares, etc.
You can also rotate objects to give them a new shape. Hence, you are a shape-shifter.

Instructions are in the game, but here you go anyways:
Click to possess an object,
WASDQE to rotate that object,
Spacebar to toggle between phantom mode (rotation and possession) and normal mode (movement),
WASD while in normal mode to move an object,
R or escape restarts the level.

Put objects of the corresponding shape on all of the buttons in order to complete open the portal. Click on the portal to complete the level.

Have fun! Please let me know all of your thoughts, both good and bad.

nice concept, I wasn't able to select the second shape on the 3rd level and I got the completion screen at start!

Love the concept. I also couldn't get past the 3rd level, I couldn't select the triangle.
Otherwise, love the idea behind it.

This idea is really clever. The ambiance is also really great. It's a bit much for my brain after 12 hours of dev but really nice!

The game needs more in-game instructions. I don't no how to pass the 3rd level. I think because i don't know how to switch between object after placing the square.

Audio fits the game

Really clever use of the theme, and the music fit well. I got stuck on the 3rd level, until I saw the note about they have to be the same shape to jump between them, which is really cool mechanic since it forces you to think ahead. Fun game, I really enjoyed it :)

So, I tried it again, and I was able to get passed the 3rd level and I thought I understood and had that ah hah moment. Then I got to the 4th level and was even more confused. It seems like the shapes don't need to be the shape that you put them on or something?

Really interesting game! I included it in my video compilation series of Ludum Dare games, if you’d like to check them out :) https://youtu.be/KyB-5ZqWXwk

I also got stuck on the 3rd level. BUT really amazing concept, love the thought of it even if i could have been easier to understand the controls or what it was that got me stuck. Great idea!

This seemed really obscure at first, but once I figured out the rules (with help from your description above), it really made sense. Great concept! I particularly enjoyed the last puzzle.

Minor annoyance: the controls could have been more intuitive. Perhaps drag with left mouse button to rotate, right mouse button to move? The distinction between "selectable" sparkles and "selected" sparkles wasn't entirely clear either.

I really liked the mechanics of the puzzle and though it was an interesting challenge to figure out what to do with the shapes. However, I found the controls a little awkward to have to switch between "move" and "rotate" mode.
