Nice straightforward little platformer! :) A little low on the innovation, but well done. The graphics were quite nice.

There were some issues, like that I seemed to be able to get stuck in the walls in a few places, and I got pretty confused on where I was supposed to be going sometimes, but nothing too bad.

I have to say though that the mechanic of needing to wait for your shape-shift bar to refill wasn't very fun. There's nothing particularly exciting about sitting there and waiting for a bar to fill up for 5 seconds. Maybe it would be cool if there were enemies or something to keep you occupied while you waited?

@Lady Beardo @Hyoga @Syldarion @tayl1r @SojaBird @Red_Fan games Thanks for your comments! I will fix the issues with the colliders, hopefully it will be much smoother. There was no time for me to find an audio, but I will be also adding it soon. I will also make vaporizing energy that is showed on the top bar a little faster so that it won't be that annoying! :)

The graphics are lovely, movement is a little too slow, and I couldn't see the bar at the top when playing in the embedded player, so I was poofing a lot and not understanding why. Good job overall though

It's a fun little concept. My main issue was the wait time between refills on the shapeshifting meter, but other than that I enjoyed it! (Although at one part I fell through the floor)

I really love the graphics here :) I just wish that the movement speed was a bit faster and that I wouldn't have to wait for my shapeshift to recharge all the time. Maybe the shapeshift could refill to full when you land?

Overall it was a nice game. Good job!

love the painted style! I kept getting stuck on the bit after the start (when you have to rise up). I think if the waiting and the movement were sped up it would help the gameplay a lot. Great art, lovely presentation.

Hi @Llucile SHIFT kinda works as you push it keeps its form and when release, it has to go back to its form. So if you are stuck, where were you stuck at? Was it when one of the dialogs triggered? If so, you can skip the dialog by SPACE BAR and then shift to go back to your form. If you can let me know, I can fix this! :)

Loved the art. There is a lack of difficulty and not having music is also really influencing my experience. The mechanics worked as expected, but were a little slow, espacially flying upwards and walking. The painted look is really nice, but maybe a bit more work into gameplay and music would boost the mood!

Greetings, bruz

I quite liked the art style, as for audio, Kevin MacLeod did a good job, too. *whistling* Story is somewhat interesting and adds to the game.

The gameplay idea is alright, but mechanics often fall short. People mentioned getting stuck, which happened to me once, too. A more serious issue would be slow movement (played the embedded version, don't know if it should have it fixed or not), but most importantly, I can't quite grasp the rules and objective of the game. It seems whenever I lose all "health" I go back to some checkpoint, but I can't quite see where the checkpoint is, and were constantly going back to the spot right when leaving outside, with 150 atom points. So, even though I'd like to record my progress after getting some difficult atoms (especially the one to the top-right of grandma, aaarrgh), I don't know how and keep going back where I started. Even then, it seems like not all atoms recover where they should. I have no idea what to do with atoms to complete the game, either...

So, it's a game I'd like to like, but I can't quite figure it out to do so. ^^'

I was able to play it a little bit more, but still not up to the end.
The first time I played, the first time I used the shapeshift power the character wouldn't go back to its human form even if I released shift or pressed the space bar.
This time it worked just fine uptil the dialog just after the character tells about his brother, I experienced the same issue : I would release the button but the character wouldn't shape shift.
I'll try again the desktop version. But apart this issue, it already looks like a pretty solid entry ! Music, puzzles, graphics, gameplay are really good and there is even a narrative ! :D

@apalade @Sabina Lis @Alphish @waveformmodulations @puppetmaster @Llucile @KairosXIII thank you so much everyone, you guys rock on feedback :) I will consider the comments and feedback and tweak more to finilize the version for 0.1d. Will move on to 0.2 to add more complex levels, puzzles and longer narrative and an achivement system for picking up atoms. Will only upload the game on itch.io from now on, and this version will be fixed here for anyone to try! ( will also add an Android version for people who would like to try on mobile )

New update, comes with itch.io and gamejolt pages, along with the final bug fixes. Also Android build arrived for anyone to try on their mobile devices.

One thing I want to mention: I had to add "Z" key for shapeshifting along with the "SHIFT" key since there was a bug in WebGL that prevents "SHIFT" to be released automatically. So make sure to use "Z" instead of "SHIFT" in WebGL if you do not want to stuck around! :)

It is a cool game, in my opinion it would be better if you could see more of the scenario (right now it is hard to know where you are going) and maybe make the shifting form a bit faster.
Good job overall, art and story are lovely, by the way!

Music and graphics add to the atmosphere of the game and are the main motivating factors to keep playing. I would like to have more control of the gas shape instead of letting it fly up. This would make the game feel a lot better. Great work :)

sooo lovely! or this more need to say that it full contains some heal feeling and let me think/feel what i have been felt when ijust was a child...(a little bit hard to describe,it seems that not only words just like "great art"or" good ambient" could describe....) i think this effect may becasue the story(although short) music and artstyle all mix in a great balance! *(this ambient music choose great!)

Watercolor is also a nice choose,i had seen serval times people use this type style in LD,but you are the best until now... otheraspect, i once also built a similary character with the same tech(unity animation,i use 4.6) so when i see "less" ,there are also some kind feeling in my heart. i also found that your built the hero's leg animation very smooth and natural, this very nice!(also so curious to know how you built it)
otherwise, you really give a good consideration for the fall animtaion..in the jam version, i most like part in this scene is just the moment when i falling to the Bottom and the text-ui pop up one by one!(with the rising wind) the feeling really beauty and just like i am flying! i think this may worth to expand or explore in the future version...of course, these subtleties animaiton of the hero and these cute bottom-block's disappear both let me feel pleasant surprise ^ ^
then the post-version also played, realized the level have so many new change~ also have more new subtleties effect/detail, unexpectedly a little bit hard than before haha~ i think ,the camera's offset may a little bit too quick, because, for me, i like to left right right lift(suddenly left; suddenly right)when i am flying(shifting),so, the camera will so shake and blast!ToT another point about UI-item(i also saw it has new built in post-version) ,Did you see there are some dark-red in the energy-bar's bottom? I found that it always let me feel my bar is just near to empty(maybe because the "real water" in the bar was more weak contrast than the red in the bottom of it)

Maybe that's all~:P finally i really want to say that so happy could found your game in this LD, it gives me a period of relax time~ Cheers!

You really touched my heart by your kind words @Tanton-H2X, I really felt the same kind of feeling when I was building those auto pop up activated one by one.. I am so happy to hear that from you too ~ I would be happy to share how I did the animations. Unfortunately I was so unexperince on this LD and did not think about recording my process. Will try to do it in the future, cause I think it could be helpful to anybody. But I think I can still share the source for the animations so anybody can examine them in unity Animator window. I always failed on walking animations in the past, so I observe more and more how people walk and how it affects the first impression of their personality. And I still think they are really hard to achieve in animation. And you had given me an amazing detailed feedback about UI and gameplay, which I agree on all the points you made. These would be very useful for me for its full release. Please also feel free to add me on Twitter: @medidog and send me a DM if you like! Again you made my day, so happy to see your comment ^ ^

I also want to thank everybody who gave me any feedback on this game, every one of them was so helpful to get me to gave a post-jam link and a decision to make it a full release. Please feel free to connect me via my Twitter account @medidog about updates in the future.
