Drunk'n nuts by AngrySquirrels
Well this time we got wayy too much ambitious...
We couldn't finish our game in time , we only have the first level, and couldn't even have a level exploiting our shape shifting mechanics :(
The idea is :
you escort your shapeshifting drunk friend. He can't jump and change form by himself.
You can use J K and L to make him shape shift in different animals for different properties (bear is strong and heavy, squirrel can activate levers and mouse is fast and can get in small hole).
The goal is to get both of the squirrels past the door. Well in this level its pretty easy, again, not even shape shifting needed. We planned to use crate and buttons, air flow pushing light stuff to jump and so on. We have a lot of things already done actually, all graphs sounds and music, but code was finished late and we didn't had time to make more levels. And in the final rush new physics bug appeared and we decided it was not worth showing unbeatable levels ...
well, we'll learn from that. Reaaaaallly disapointed. No more Physics with unity for sure.
We'll work more on this and make a post jam version this week.
You can press R to reset the level.
Controls :
Z Q D / arrows : Move
E : interact with objects
R : reset level
J K L : shape shift your friend.

Well, as this isn't a game (but a VERY nice concept) I'm not gonna drag down your 'Overall' and 'Fun' score by voting on that :)
The graphics are amazing though. Really nice animations and art!
Hope you guys had a fun time making it =)
Keep working.

But hey, graphics and animations are amazing, seems to have had too much work!
A tiny comment, though: It would be nice if you could tweak little bit the controls so that they are slightly more comfortable to use. Arrows, E, and JKL seem kinda weird, at least in my keyboard (english)
Thank you
We worked on code with placeholders art the same time art was created but we got a lot of physocs issue. The game was almost doke ald we had 3 levels but a key feature bugged ain the last moment and made the game unbeatable so, with 20 minutes left we knew there was no more time and didn put ulbeatable levels.
We got quite busy those two last week with contract work so we couldn not work on this but we will probably start to work on it again soon.
Thanks
The graphics are superb and well designed. The backgrounds, characters and music all blend well together and do a good job of 'world building'. The characters are unique and cute enough to warrant putting them on a t-shirt to sell at your local watering hole :)
Negatives:
As you mentioned - its short. It took me longer to download the game then it did to beat it. With that being said - when I did beat the game I wanted more. Which is saying a bit because I there are many games that after playing for a few minutes I didn't want more.. I actually wanted my 5 minutes back :/.
With that being said - this is Ludum Dare, the goal is to create a proof of concept to see if a game is worth while to put more time in to build upon. My opinion (and seemingly the many other opinions posted here) are that this game has a lot of potential.
Good luck ;)
