The Sausage Squad proudly presents SharpShifter: Buckle Up, Britches!

CONTROLS :

START: ENTER
MOVE: Arrow Keys
PUNCH: Z
SHOOT: X
TRANSFORM: C
*You can transform when your peyote level is over 10*

SharpShifter is a Beat'em Up/Shoot'em Up game located in a western setting where you, the hero, go on a brown milk and peyote fueled killing spree against the Varmint Valley Bandits. You have the ability to tranform into fierce beasts to help you in your travels.

SharpShifter is the result of our second Ludum Dare as the Sausage Squad.

Things that were ready but didn't make it:
-Plenty of soundtracks that will be uploaded on Soundcloud
-A few purchasable items in the saloon.

Things that weren't quite ready:
-Day and Night cycle.
-Some animations (THE BEAR HE FLIES)
-Proper physics and collision detection.
-The train level.

In the end we hope you enjoy our little unfinished game. We (for the most part) had lots of fun making it.

Praise the Brown Milk.

Enjoyed the art and animations. Would have liked to be able to cancel out of the shoot animation before or after shot by moving. I kind of felt stuck in that animation. Great job.

Cool entry :) The art is very nice!
Sometimes the animations overlap with other actions, but overall, looks good!

It's basically impossible to aim the gun, and punching doesn't seem to work. Couldn't tell what triggered the transformation, never seemed to work again after the first time. The shop UI is really confusing too, i couldn't tell if i bought something or not or what my current transformation time was.

Nice submission, I enjoyed it, but felt like it needed a little more fleshing out.
I ran into an interesting bug where if you held down punch and move at the same time for a little while you'd be teleported once you released them.
You also need to watch your z-draw, some bandits were being drawn behind the saloon when they should have been in front.
Liked the art, loved the music.

Enjoyed the music. Encountered a weird bug where hitting the punch button would freeze the game, and unfreeze when released. If you were holding a direction, you would teleport as if you were moving in that direction the entire time, though enemies would stay still. While it was amusing to go all Nightcrawler-bear-form, it regrettably left me with no way to attack and I eventually let myself get shanked.
