Liked the style and humor - couldn't really finish it, catching that bunny is hard, and jumping over the spikes is impossible.
Nice work!
I like the idea but an introduction to what the different kinds of items do would do wonders. A life system would also enhance playability.
still a great idea on the crafting part.
well done.
More levels would have been nice. The different equipments are a good basis for more puzzles. Is the hands equipment good for anything?
benjaminum: Currently, the puppets (bunny and rat) don't really do anything. Originally I thought that they would provide attack bonuses and new attacks, but there was too little time to add such. The wolf paws still boost speed/jump a little.
Originally I was planning to have 3 more enemies: A pointy shell ( to dig through the cracked ground areas), a crab (to walk on the quicksand, the dark ground close to the wolf), and a bird, to provide the best jump bonus. Time was too short though. I did make some graphics for the crab, which you can find in the source package.
Breakdance McFunkypants: thanks for not giving up, and giving the hints a chance :D. It seems they were pretty valuable to many people. I should have added some more hints about the game play and crafting system, but there was so little time! Originally I had planned a "discoveries screen" where you could browse all found equipment. There are concept pictures and some item planning in the source package, though the images are GIMP image format (xcf). Animations were also originally planned but not prioritized; I might do an extended version with all initial plans and suggestions from people :)
Thanks again to everyone who played / plays my game, even though it's a little harder than it should be :)
With some tidying up and some way of integrating the hints into the game it would be play like Under The Garden with more of a directed story.
