Simplistic but functional.  Using Unity for this kind of game is like hammering a nail with a tank, but the game is just as described.  I would have loved some use of Unity's strengths: maybe the baddies could have been 3d robots or asteroids, etc, some sound, maybe some cool explosion particle systems when red buddies collide, maybe they could speed up over time... there's a lot of room for improvement, but it works perfectly and for a game you spent only one hour on, not bad at all."},{"author_name":"pekuja","author_uid":"110","time":"Aug 30, 2010 @ 9:08pm","epoch":1283202180,"text":"Well, I used Unity mostly because I'm most comfortable with it, and because I was able to build *something* in the hour that was left of the compo when I started. ;-)\r<br\/>\r<br\/>And don't get me wrong, I don't mean to brag about being so fast or anything. I just did this for fun. I thought it turned out surprisingly well. I think I may consider doing these quick jam entries in future LD's as well. Total development time: about one hour. It's just about the simplest thing that anyone could make for this theme. I did however end up bypassing Unity's physics and collision detection systems, which is something I aim to explore further in future projects. My compo entry tries to somewhat work with the Unity physics and collision and it's kinda terrible in that area.<\/p>","title":"Dodge"}
