Some instructions would be helpful, I was quite confused when I started playing, when I work out what I was doing it was fine. It did fit the theme quite well.

I liked this a lot! I couldn't keep straight which hero is strong/weak against which monster, so I had to take a screenshot of the instructions screen.

Graphics look very good. Spot on with the theme. Congrats on your first LD!

Really fun. I liked the "weakness" mechanic, it made things interesting! The fog of war fit the theme really well too. Congratulations on finishing!

Cool overall experience.
One skeleton was really hard to reach because it was in the northern mountains and almost every way was to long for the adventurers, did hang there for a while ;-)
Nice to see my adventurers wander around and apparently die of age. Idiots. But hey, they bring me the golds! *g*

That was a lot of fun, and it looked good, too.

I got a score of 5. Hurrah. I quite like the idea, though I had to take a screenshot of the reference page to help me decide what to do. Something more abstract might have helped here?

Anyway, cool beans

For your first ludum dare... it's awesome!
A really playable game unlike some other, good job.

For some reason I couldn't see the status stuff, so it made the game really confusing. Still, the concept is strong.

Score 7 for me!

Your game is awesome!! Great work!

Great work! I would have loved to have the world procedurally generated for more re-playability. But nonetheless, this was a nifty game.

I quite like the idea of sending in little automous heroes to explore an island. I found the totally front-loaded instructions to be confusing. I read through them, but I didn't remember all the particulars once I was in the game.

I think you did a great job of picking an appropriate scope, and congratulations on finishing with such a playable game.

Cheers!

Lovely idea and a great presentation too. Took me a while to figure out who could kill what but was loving it after that =)

I love the concept for this.

My only issue with the game was the broken English used throughout, but I'm not gonna fault you for that because it looks like you're not too familiar with the language right now. Other than that, really awesome game.

Very cool! However, in your code, before placing each monster, you should do a check that it's actually "mortal"; I played one game where a squeleton was only reachable by a ranger, so the game was unbeatable from the start. Also, there's seemingly no advantage of landing several heroes at the same time, except perhaps impatience :) So perhaps some teamwork elements could be woven into the game? I also quickly forgot what strengths and weaknesses each hero had (opened the intro in another window:) so a little reference card would be great.

Oh...then the two games that I played must have been similar. haha!

to plams:

You are right, my english is very bad and i really apologize for that. It's very frustrating for me.

To finished the game i had not enough time to make more explicit helping elements in the game.

For example, a tooltip on rollover a hero button who remember the strength and weakness of each hero.

Another one who show the loss of energy when heroes moved.

And some other little things which make the understanding easier.

I hope someone has understood what i said :D

Great fun!
Smooth animations, cute artwork, fun premise, good humor. It's like a simplified version of Warcraft. I still haven't figure out why my units keep falling over and dying but I'll solve that next time.
Some sound would make this a solid product.

the ship launching is super cool, as is the exploring of the island mechanic. Very nice all around.

As far as the tutorial goes it suffers from "wall-of-text" syndrome, and there seems to be a glitch where after the game displays "GAME OVER" once it won't do it again, meaning I have to refresh the page if I want to play 3+ times.

Which I do. Because this game is pretty kickass :D I really enjoyed this, EXCELLENT job! Still a little tough, but that's okay. It's fun :)

The basis for a fun game here, though some play balance issues plagued my attempts (or I'm doing something wrong). I routinely ended up with Skeletons in the middle of the island that neither the wizard nor the warrior could actually walk to; they'd drop dead on the way (presumably from exhaustion?) while the ranger, who could reach, always got clobbered. Since I couldn't kill the skeletons, I'd have to start over. If something could be done about issues like that, it'd be awesome.

Very nice game :)

The game is very neat. I'd love to have the heroes move a tad faster, right now waiting is too much a part.
Other than that, very solid. Just needs sound.

It took me a second to realize i could come in from every side of the island. for some reason I had convinced myself you could only come in from the bottom. I was also confused when my guys died from stamina, but eventually figured it out. The game is quite fun! I'm always pleased to see someone using wiggles and jiggles to make simple graphics really sing and feel fun. I gotta remember to do that in my next dare entry.

This is one of the more fun entries I've played! Congratulations.

Neat mechanics, cute graphics, complete game.

Really good stuff, a little music and maybe a roll over chart for strengths, weaknesses and life expectancy for each character and it'd be good enough to toss up on Kongregate.

Great job for your first LD :P
