Very nice puzzles and story idea! But I really dislike the music and the fact that pressing escape just throws you out of the game.

Spectacular! In a way that doesn't necessarily include all the potential technical polish, but a really elaborate and full-featured game that is enjoyable and exciting to play. You really managed to focus on the relevant parts without getting distracted with "stuff". I caught myself repeatedly using imagination to fill in the missing bits while playing, which is quite easy when the graphics are just symbolic and not even particularly animated. LD champion form, harvest player brain power for content!

Nice job! The escort mechanic works really well. With some better art assets, this could turn it to something very good.

Was very fun and had difficulty at parts that kept it interesting. I liked the playfulness of the characters, especially the cat scratch-attack thing.

Second game with a cat escort I've come across, only this one's got health and puzzles and stuff.

Pretty nifty, had to kill the audio because it was killing me.

Solid effort, congrats on submitting!

Bonus points for customer service... Non-hi-def works for me, and it was totally worth it! Best storyline I've come across yet this LD. I like the style of humor, graphics, and music -- I think you'd like my game actually.

Awesome. Very funny setting and narrative, good use of theme, very solid platformer gameplay - most fun game I've played from this LD so far. So much character, even in the AI behaviours - dumb escort lady! Stop being so dumb! Sigh, Heroic Cat to the rescue *again*... :D

The music was cringeworthy though. I had to turn it off about halfway through so it didn't drive me mad. Would have been better if there hadn't been any. :(

Was also a pain to get running (needed to download and install .NET 4.0 and XNA, and my first XNA download was corrupted *shakes fist at Microsoft*), but the game more than made up for that and it didn't affect my score. :)

Well done! I just read that this is your first LD. And not your last, I hope, because this was a quality entry!

Wow, really nice entry (especially for a first LD) - your game has so much personality - it's awesome!!! Agree that the music was a bit grating, but just having music is a bit of extra polish to me, so well done!

Now for the bad part... you are an evil, evil person :P!

After giving me hope for kitty there's that part with the traps and the fire spewing monster and the levers - that last F jump for the top lever is impossible I managed it once in 100+ attempts and then I have to do it under time pressure :(... would've loved to see the ending :'(...

Your best bet is to practice the jump a few times without the time pressure. Just let the guy die and try to do the jump a few times. It's tricky, I know. Once you think you have the hang of it, try again under time pressure. There are a few more jumps in the game which should be tweaked. Or rather, the cat movement should be tweaked so he accelerates instead of the current instant max speed.

****** BIG SPOILER ALERT ABOUT THE ENDING ******

Basically the ending is that you take the red guy to the home town. The princess and the green dude are in the house upstairs, presumably kissing. The old man rambles that it's dangerous to have unprotected sex, and to take this. Then, two seconds later, the red guy shoots a fireball at the house, and the house instantly burns completely in a huge fire, and the old man yells he's on fire and that it hurts and he wonders why it's happening and then he probably dies together with the green guy and the princess. Then the red guy moves out of the screen, you follow him, and then you see the ending credits with "Heroic Cat! Is a Villain!", which is exactly the same as the intro screen, but then with evil eyes and the altered text. And that's it!

I should make a video about it though. The text doesn't do it justice.
