Brass Monkey by fishbrain
Damn... I ran out of time on this one... I would have liked to have done some more work.
But there IS a simple, playable game here.
(Note: the game difficulty does increase as you play)

yes - unfortunately i ran out of time and didn't quite get to polish the original concept as much as i wanted.
Reminds me of KA-BOOM!
Congrats on clearing LD48!
P.S. What is in that a pipe?
And not to nitpick, but I suspect you didn't strictly paint all the art yourself. Collage is a legitimate art style but I dunno if it fits with the LD48 rules. Maybe I'm just sore 'cos someone marked me down for using a stock skydome :)
yeah, the thing is I spent a lot of time constructing a story, a fantasy, a world in my head (which obviously involved monkeys in an a la Planet of the Apes type scenario) that I hoped a game would emerge from that... but it didn't really take on a complete form.
There is a page for competition rules (under the title), all content must be made by you.
It takes quite a while to get challenging. And then there are some unfair formations with notes left and right with the same height.
Getting difficul faster and some code to avoid unfair positioning would work wonders ;)
Weirdest game I've played so far :P... well done on finishing something at least - keep trying!
