A simple action-platformer focused on controlling a robot, jumping a whole lot, and hitting mechanical crabs with a rotten fish repeatedly until they blow up. And killer clams, too. All that to recover Frank's slippers, even though he doesn't have feet.
Made in Game Maker 8 Pro, some photoshop and SFXR. I had a blast making it, and I hope you enjoy playing it, even though it's rather short.
I'd really appreciate some bug reports and general feedback. Heck, if you want to, just tell me and I'll update it after the competition with more levels. (:

I love the visual style and the humor! The fish upgrade was NOT expected. lol
Some rad music and more sfx would make it TOP NOTCH!

@athanazio: sorry to hear that. :( There *is* a version of game maker for mac, so I'll look for somebody who has it.
So if any GM Mac user is out there, I'll be very grateful if you just downloaded the source and created a Mac executable game! :)

I'm thinking of adding an arena mode to the game, which would consist of a simple, small arena map, where monsters would get spawned constantly, and the player would go for a high score. How does that sound? ^_^
The pits in level 2 are nasty. I like the fish powerup ;)
Also also, you should probably make ALL the ground tiles non-passable rather than just the border tiles. I jumped off the screen and landed inside a block of dirt: http://i.imgur.com/LoQ5o.png
@brainiac256: I'm really glad that my game works on Linux :D
This was my first platformer ever, and it didn't cross my mind that I could make collision masks any size I wanted, so I just 16x16 ones for every levels. Filling everything up would have taken forever my way, haha. Thanks for the input! :D

Anyhoo. This is really funny. I especially love the comments on the health-bar :-)
All around excellent work, liked the whole "programmer as robot" shtick.
Sorta wanted somewhere to spend those hard-earned coins but hey, great game nonetheless.
