Goo Away! by Bioruebe
Sadly, this time I noticed too late that Ludum Dare takes place, but the theme was just too cool to skip it. So I decided to make a quick prototype and submit it. Not fancy, not very good looking, actually I see it more as an exercise to learn about mesh deformation in Unity.
This game is based on the Mesh Deformation tutorial by Catlike Coding, and uses content from the Asset Store packages 'FX Fire Free', 'Cannon on a Platform', 'Wispy Skybox' and 'PBS Materials Variety Pack'; also there is no music and only two sound effects ('Popsicle Stick Pluck' by BluetoothBoy and 'cannon_boom5.wav' by ReadeOnly, both released under Creative Commons 0).
A short how to play section can be found on the start screen.

Very interesting concept! I imagine working with mesh deformations was complicated.

Cool! It would be nice with some more sense of depth to tell when the cannonballs have passed and maybe some sort of indication of where the "touch area" ends.

I really like the core concept of the game. It is a little hard to tell just when the balls are about to hit though.

The perspective makes it hard for me to judge when I can and cannot dodge, it`s probably just me. Other than that a really fun game that fits the theme spot on.

Interesting idea, needs more knowledge of where touches end, and difficulty needs to ramp up

Could indeed use some better depth and direction cues, but the general idea and motion of the blob are well done.

Cool stuff! I think adding some way of telling how close the cannonballs are would help.
