Chambershift by timeshapers

[raw]
made by timeshapers for LD35 (COMPO)
There is no clear path to victory, luckily, you can create one.

Shift your environment to clear a path to the portals, touch them to destroy them.
Careful though, you have no weapon, and must avoid those creatures coming out of them.

Controls:
AD to walk, arrow keys to chambershift.

Oh, and please throw all feedback at me, negative as well!
I can't improve if I don't know what I did wrong.
And I'll play the game of anyone that left feedback.

Great game, I love the art and the mechanics are clever and well executed.

Nicely done! Really creative idea. Some instructions would be nice to explain that enemies are spawning from the portals; I learned that the hard way. Not a ton of replay value but I like the different color schemes.

Great mechanics, though the movement of the player feels a bit odd for some reason. Plus points for being able to change the color scheme :) Great job!

I really like the concept, and the art seemed to fit pretty well. I actually didn't realize you could walk the first time I played though

Really nice use of wrapping! Haven't seen it used like that. Could use some explaining of the instructions, but other than that, it's a solid game!

Great idea, simple but effective graphics, soothing quiet music, and it's fun and tactical. What's not to love? Very well done!

Ha, I won and only then realized that I can not only shift blocks, but also move my character. Nice game!

Interesting mechanic, takes some time to get used to, but at some point it just clicks. Also loved the inclusion of different color palettes. :)

I liked the idea and simple art style, too I was stuck in walls so much, but otherwise it was a nice entry :)

interesting idea. i liked the art, the sounds were a little jarring though. and its also a little unfair having enemies spawn from the things you're trying to collect

Cool game! The movement felt a bit off sometimes, but not unplayable. Ingame instructions could be useful, but a tutorial is obviously not needed for such a simple concept.

Letting enemies spawn from portals is a bit unfair - maybe it could be strategic if the portals show a timer so you at least know when you can and cannot grab it safely.

Really great and original idea!
I would add some more gameplay elements to make it more interesting and to give more options to be able to solve the puzzles.

Really great little game. The enemies were a little more annoying than I would have liked. Perhaps have more static hazards as lot of the fun is simply warping the area itself!

Hi, nice game ! We're realizing a video with several games of the Ludum Dare #35.
Can you add your game on indiexpo.net ? (it's free)
So we can include also your game in the video ;)
p.s. write #LDJAM in the game's description
