I can't find the download link.
Gl
I am not sure what is causing it but it might be my system(Win7 Home Premium)
I will try it on another computer to see if it works
The graphics are astounding and animations are very well done!
Gameplay is ok, you find your way around the maze.
Circle of sight is very small though.
The torch runs out pretty quickly and coals replenish it only a little so it is very challanging.
When the torch ran out, the game sort of froze?
When I started over, it forgot I completed the tutorial.
All and all a very nice RPG atmosphere. Suits the theme.
Thanks, I enjoyed it.
The base sound in the background really starting bugging me about three seconds in - I'm not sure what source you were recording, but it sounded like my room when the computer is turned on and all fans are blowing on full :P
On the graphical side you had a beautiful base, although I felt it missed a bit of life. I'm not sure if the amount of colour was just a shade too low for the resolution of the game or whether the minimal animations made the creatures a bit static, but I'm sure that with a little more time that would have smoothed itself out.
Essentially I'm just poking holes trying to suggest places to expand upon :) . Given the time frame this is a rock solid entry. Well done.
Interesting concept, but I think it needed something more to it. Either another mechanic, or enemies that forced you into different behaviors. As it was, it always boiled down to the same "sidestep and let them pass" move (except when you could just bully the bugs around). I think you needed something else to do besides sidestep and get lost. The shrinking torch circle was an effective threat to keep you moving for sure.
The mummy level is hard, I died often running into one without any chance to react (too greedy?).
Well done!
I also felt that there needed to be a little more mechanics wise to make it fun... On my machine I could see quite well without the torch, so some kind of alpha adjustment may be necessary...
I'm glad darkness had effect on you since that was one of the main factors of the game - I wanted to keep player's pulse high even if there are monsters or not, your torch still has to shine if you want to finish.
There were more plans for the mechanics but I run out of time sadly. I know there aren't many options with 2 type of enemies in the game but it could be envolved further into a nice piece of game.
Thanks again everyone for your comments :)
