It would be nice if each object had a description of what it did. I wasn't sure what the last couple of objects did. I can't see a relation to the theme. A fun way of making little tunes."},{"author_name":"ryantouk","author_uid":"3455","time":"May 4, 2011 @ 3:55am","epoch":1304481000,"text":"I have a soft spot for audio generators, especially oddball ones like this. With some more features, such as changing the speeds of individual minions,  this could be expanded into a very diverse 'game'! It's fun - but like Gobo said, where does the theme come in?"},{"author_name":"treeman","author_uid":"1895","time":"May 5, 2011 @ 9:26am","epoch":1304587260,"text":"I messed up with the theme pretty much.\r<br\/>\r<br\/>The idea was that you're an alien orbiting a flat boring planet and just before your planet blew up your dad gave you a magical gun which allows you to make music and summon minions and stuff.\r<br\/>\r<br\/>However I didn't have the time\/planning to add it all, I started with an intro thing but in the end it wasn't to be."},{"author_name":"Dark Acre Jack","author_uid":"2947","time":"May 6, 2011 @ 5:19am","epoch":1304658840,"text":"I can feel the scope of this one, and hope that you develop it further.\r<br\/>\r<br\/>The genesis was the farming mechanism in Minecraft? ;)"},{"author_name":"Sempai","author_uid":"3791","time":"May 8, 2011 @ 8:08am","epoch":1304841780,"text":"On Linux 64 bit: I kan't launch your game:\r<br\/>.\/startme: error while loading shared libraries: libopenal.so.1: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory"},{"author_name":"treeman","author_uid":"1895","time":"May 8, 2011 @ 9:43am","epoch":1304847480,"text":"Dark Acre Jack:\r<br\/>The future might look pretty good for this and I might develop it further on the summer, but I haven't decided yet.\r<br\/>\r<br\/>And genesis farming mechanism? No.. :p\r<br\/>\r<br\/>Sempai:\r<br\/>Darn I forgot the openal dependency. You need to get openal from your repo or somewhere else depending on what distro you're using.\r<br\/>\r<br\/>I guess I could include the lib but that wouldn't work across distros very well. The thing I could've done I think is to build it into the game, but I don't know how to do that though.\r<br\/>\r<br\/>I'll look into it and keep it in mind in the future I guess. Use the power of digital circuits and create something fun.\r\n\r\nThere's some wacky keybindings for this one:\r\n\r\n    Place an object                 Mouse Left\r\n    Toggle up through objects       1\r\n    Toggle down through objects     2\r\n    Release a minion                Space\r\n    Kill all minions                K\r\n\r\n    Pause                           P\r\n    Increase speed                  Left Shift\r\n    Decrease speed                  Left Ctrl\r\n\r\n    Load map                        L\r\n    Save map                        S\r\n\r\n    Console, nothin fun :(          F1\r\n    Exit the game                   F10\r\n\r\nNow beware, I didn't have the time or energy to create a full blown level saving,\r\nso it will always use \"level.dat\" in bin as it's save file. It will overwrite and\r\nit will do so without asking.\r\n\r\nUse at your own risk :)\r\n\r\nOh and I will get a windows exe up as soon as I can, for now simply the source will have to do. It's almost 3 am and I'm tired..\r\n\r\nNote for linux users: The binary link is built on Slackware 64 so I can't guarantee that it'll work for your distro. Your best bet is to build from source, but then you'll need sfml, lua and boost. Or try the windows build in wine.<\/p>","title":"My Minions"}
