Escape from Hell by Soggyclog

Escape from Hell is a physics platformer where you must make use of boxes stuffed with tortured souls to make your way to freedom.

It is Windows only. No installer. Made with Scirra Construct.

I entered it in the jam because I went over the comp time a bit. There is still a lot I planned to add but I'm burnt out :) Would have been nice to have time to think of harder puzzles. Oh well, maybe someday I'll add to it.

Nice graphics, makes a pretty good platformer.

Only thing I would say is the controls are slightly counter-intuitive.

Pretty hard one as controls are a bit clunky. The art is nice! Physics are cool, if a bit too buggy.

very great pixel art, and love the background. I agree, the control was a little tricky, and the puzzles seemed to be about mastering the controls.

I really like this game, it reminded of the amiga days, my friend had a game called the apprentice i think, i'm a bit fuzzy on the game play, i think it was with a wizard that jumped around grabbing boxes. Anyway, very cool art style, cute sounds, though i also found the controls to be counter intuitive which was a struggle, maybe even half the challenge, if it was a longer game then i would of gotten frustrated and want the buttons switched around, but for this it just made it part of the games challenge.
overall its really good, though right near the end i thought i was gonna lose a box, it went straight up very fast past the ceiling, but it came down again a few seconds later :)

The graphics look very impressive! I didn't play very far because of the slippery controls, but I like the idea and setting.

Thanks a lot for checking it out guys :) And for the great feedback about the crappy controls. This is the first game I've ever released to the public and it's been really educational. I'll definitely devote a lot more time to the controls from now on!

The physics puzzlin' is a bit fiddly but overall I enjoyed your game a lot.
