The Complex by Erifdex

This was my second Ludum Dare ever, and I have learned ALOT! I hope you enjoy my final game - it took a long, long time to complete!

TOOLS USED:
Flashpunk
Flashdevelop
GIMP 2.0
WolframTones

CONTROLS:
W, A, S, D to move
Mouse to look (not really needed)

Aim: Get out of THE COMPLEX!

P.S. If you've seen my earlier post, you'll have noticed that I had a lighting system going on. I had to ditch it because of memory problems I'm afraid. Sorry 'bout that!

pretty awesome, it would have been cool to have checkpoints so that you don't go all the way back when you die.

I really like this game. Its fun and addicting! One nice thing would be if the player looked like he was walking down instead of sideways when you went up or down on the map. Overall I liked this tho. I think you should continue this game and make it even better! :)

A pretty fun and challenging little game. A checkpoint after each room would probably be a good idea though.

Needs checkpoints. I like the level design, controls are also nice and smooth. I'm not sure what the point of the crosshair is though. Is this something to do with the lighting system you mentioned?

Very nice, but as mentioned, needs checkpoints.

Really liked the tips on the floor... made it a lot more fun

Not groundbreaking, but well, I had fun playing it :D Would be even better with that lighting.

Agree with the checkpoints. I ended up dying in the same spot four times. Quadruple bleh!

Nice, very smooth. Great job!

Good, but the lack of checkpoints made it too stressful to be fun. The music was a little annoying to me.

Got reckless, died. Doesn't reward risk-taking, which makes it a bit less fun than it could be. More interesting if there was a possible benefit and not just a huge risk of failure in rushing past multiple lasers or sort of zigzagging quickly. But yes - checkpoints would do it just fine. Still fun though, until you give up.
