Light Maze by Lia-Sae

[raw]
made by Lia-Sae for LD21 (-)
Simple maze game with a twist : you have to turn off the lights to go through colored walls ... and to turn them back on to walk on colored floor !
If a level's too hard, just hit ESCAPE.
Apologies for programmer graphics.
Made with : FlashDevelop (code), Flash CS4 (some assets), sfxr (crappy sound effects).

Thought it didn't work at first.. whoops ad blocker's fault. Nice game though, interesting concept and could easily be built upon to make a much fuller game =)

I think you had a good concept, but there are a lot of collision bugs and you should test your levels more next time... I played through the first few and was really bored because I only had to use 1 switch to get to the exit... 90% of the map is unnecessary!

Not so much collision bugs as just crappy collisions. Didn't want to make the first levels too hard (and they're randomly generated), guess I was wrong ;) I'll probably take the time to upgrade it though.

Nice game, just a few remarks:
As said, difficulty raises too slow, but later levels get quite interesting.
Distinguishing between walls and bottom is quite difficult in some situations, maybe making the bottom a bit (more) darker would help.

Thanks ;) I'm definitely going to improve it. Fix the collision issues, put a level editor together to do some real level design, and find someone who can draw (programming student here). Kongregate's people suggested to have mutliple maze sizes, I'll add this as well.
Anyway, it was my first Ludum Dare and my first game put out, so I guess it could have been much worse ! Thanks again for the feedback.
