The Escape by ippa
A JavaScript/HTML5 adventure.
Move with ARROW-KEYS. There's NO other keys needed to solve the game. Just "touch things" to interact.
If you get STUCK in the first room, I have a small hint @
http://ippa.se/webgames/the_escape/spoiler.txt - It's not hard to figure out though :).
Works in all major browsers -
Chrome 12+, Safari 5+, FireFox 6 (and down to 4.0 I think) and IE9.
Do you make/love low-fi/pixel/retro games too? Add me https://plus.google.com/114411714248998389818/posts

The graphics were really clever, tho I would have worked on the color palette choice a little more.
What really impressed me was the sound design, it's known that HTML5 audio support is crappy at best, yet you made it so i tought i was playing a flash game. Simple but simply amazing.
My biggest criticism is that some of the jumps are pretty brutal to make and others where you have to just guess right or fall into a pit of lava.
The music and one color background helped create an effectively creepy ambience.
The jumping puzzles were tough but fun. I really felt like a mountain climber trying to find the next position for my foot.
I felt like if it had been done in flash it might have been a bit smoother and maybe some lighting and smoking effects for the background could have been added which probably wasn't really feasible with JS.
Good show!
@sfernald: JS is crazy fast nowadays, I could have done more. But first day was lost due to a servercash, so I basically did this in 10 hours. I also kind of like the minimalism of the gfx :).
What FPS did you get? It's very smooth here in Chrome.
A few suggestions: it would be nice to allow the player to jump up through pixels, at least 1 pixel thick platforms. Not a huge deal but would make some of the climbing a bit nicer to do. Also, parallax background (as I mentioned on IRC) would be awesome! That said, I really
