I agree with the previous poster, it was very difficult to judge where I was at. Eventually I figured out that there was a crosshair, but even with that everything moved too quickly to really get into the groove. \r<br\/>\r<br\/>Great concept, and good execution on the music generation!"},{"author_name":"Neilo","author_uid":"1154","time":"Aug 24, 2011 @ 6:02am","epoch":1314165420,"text":"I was balancing this game to make it playable with pretty heavy sleep deprivation...and it became quite easy to me. My experiment for this LD was Procedural Music.\r\n\r\nTo guide the music, you must avoid the red blobs, but attempt to collect the blue and green blobs. One will increase the chord complexity, and the other the progression complexity.\r\n\r\nControls are WASD to move, Esc will exit, and F1 will reset the game.\r\n\r\nThis is my second entry using my own engine, Psybrus. All engine code used is based on what was located at https:\/\/github.com\/neilogd\/Psybrus at the start of LD.\r\n\r\nAll game code is written in GameMonkey (http:\/\/www.somedude.net\/gamemonkey\/). See the .gm files in \"Dist\" for all the game code. For some idiotic reason I decided to lump everything very hackly into \"game.gm\". There you will find some horrific game code, along with the music generator. Hopefully I will get the time to clean this up, and improve upon it as there are so many avenues of music generation I wanted to explore, but didn't have the time to :(<\/p>","title":"Lost Psyche"}
