Return to Custody by feyleaf

[raw]
made by feyleaf for LD21 (-)
A prison break has occurred and Custody Carl is the specialist police officer who will recapture the escaped convicts.

This is my second LD48 entry. Again, using SFML and C++. The art was done in paint.net.

Unfortunately, the game didn't progress as far as I had hoped, but enjoy it for what it is! Have a happy day and thank you for checking out my entry.

It would've been a lot more interesting if there was some sort of conflict - maybe some of the prisoners would try and attack Carl or something of the sort. The game's not overly bad, you applied the theme well and the graphics are pretty well-made, (albeit at times a wee bit glitchy) but the whole "lact of clinflict" thing really got to me, sadly. I would have easily rated this a 3 overall if there was something to worry about, maybe a 4 if it had some audio thrown into it too (and it was well-done.)

Cool concept, but AI is very simple and don't really pose a threat or can escape. There are also collision bugs. The rope is very long :) With variety, this could be taken further.

Demonstrates the idea and shows that with more time, you could make an interesting game out of it!

The graphics are not bad, idea is fine and catching mechanic seems to work well. Other than that, I must agree with others that the game needs some more variety. Maybe the prisoners could escape after some time of being tied up, or could hurt the main character when touching him? Nice entry and it does have some potential - worth working some more on it.
