Sweet idea! The three different games thing was totally awesome. The highest I got in a couple of tries was 36 tokens.

PS That splash screen is the best. Ever.

51 tokens...

I like the idea. But it is very frustrating when your about to die in one game and you can't avoid it ...

Played this three or four times. Damn hard! Collected about 50 tokens and eventually made it to 3 or 4 "cycles" of the 3 mini games. Definitely tough when you are in a shitty spot when the minigame switches and having to restart completely made me not play for too long. I like the visual style and the differences between the minigames mechanics/controls.

Cool game, nice idea! Loved it, (And completed it, but didn't get all the tokens). Quite hard and frustrating! :P I love the graphics and the rainbow colours! And the splash screen is really great.

Thanks for the comments, folks. Yeah sorry it's so hard, it turned out way more difficult than I intended. The switching between games turned out super hard! I made it a bit easier in that it will only switch once the platformer characters are on the ground, and also made it display that meter on the bottom so you can time thing correctly, but it's still a really difficult game.

If anybody has any specific suggestions of how I could tweak it to make it a bit more beginner friendly, I'd love to hear them!

I like how the switching mechanic forces you to think where to leave your character, then quickly adjust again. The controls feel fair and the one life policy keeps the player on their toes. Addicting stuff, I'll get all the tokens eventually!

50 Tokens! The concept and the execution are so good that I can't stop from retrying. What's more, it fits the theme perfectly, and in an innovative way by playing multiple fun games at the same time. The graphics are awesome, the sound effects are good (the game might have benefited from a chiptune background music). ChevyRay's journal has only one post, which is sad, but it's nothing compared to the fun of the games.

Loved it, Chevy. :D I got to 73 tokens and want to keep playing, but I have another 520 games to review so I need to keep moving. ;)

I'm going to look into the source for this one for sure! Love the monochrome aesthetics.

@Fififox Thanks! Yeah unfortunately I always get so distracted and forget to post in the journal on the site... and when I do remember, I never really know what to put up.

Next time I'll try to be a bit more involved and share WIP stuff as I go along, since that's always fun to see.

Sweet, really adictive. The only way I think it could be made more casual friendly, would be to reset the game to the last instance of "dude running away from flying saucer", instead of the very first one.

Very nice game. Simple graphics, but they looked good. The game mechanic of switching between "experiences" is great; it adds a suspense sort of feeling to it.

The thing I don't like is the difficulty, largely caused by the fact that you have to restart all three if you die in one; not sure if there's a way round that though.

Finally, I think it would've been good to have two slightly different sounds for the tokens to add some more audial variety.

I have no idea what is going on in there, but the gameplay is increedibly understanable and compelling.

Also, it's great how the "chevy ray"-page works as a sort-of tutorial and explains the cuboid monsters :-)

What's with this trend of making more games than required? You've got three, and Rolpege made like 20. I guess LD has gotten too easy...

Fun though, and very stressful. It definitely works well in that you memorize the state of each game so you hopefully know what to do when it comes around again. At one point I was a hair away from dying in the frog game (which I love/hate btw due to sticking on the ground and very fluid feel of jumping) but remembered it next time so I could immediately leap and survive.

My best so far is 88, with only two or three missed along the way. I'll have to rest before trying the whole thing again from the top.

really fun! great feel to the platforming, I think the only thing I'd like to add is checkpoints so if you die you don't have to restart the entire thing. after 3 goes getting quite far (I think) I gave up when I died again

that is a frustratingly fun game, I love adapting the way you control each game mode and remembering its state. The rapid fire context switching keeps you on your toes. Good entry! The frog is a love/hate for me as well.

Wow! So much fun to play. I love the graphics and sound and the personality they give the game. The controls on the ship game are sweet, too - super responsive. The switching between minigames really adds to the sense of urgency whilst escaping (also, knowing you only have one chance to do it!) Great stuff.

I love the graphics, and I love the idea, and it's fun for a short while, but the controls ruin it for me. The ship controls feel fight, but the frog and runner feel more frustrating than fun. But overall definitely one of my favorites that I've played. :)

At first I thought that you wanted to avoid the tokens. Because of the sound they made and that what looked liked the health bar shrunk when you touched them. Lol. Besides that, Great game!

Well this was a pleasant surprise. At least you didn't need to control all three of them at once. The timing was fine and didn't need any changes.

Great game. Has me yelling at my screen though. One specific thing I noticed is that it seems like to land on a platform with the frog you seem to have to jump higher than feels like should be required. Other than that, I guess it just gets pretty difficult. Actually, especially the frog parts do.

Excellent - among the dozens of generic platformers (although in your case platformer is just one third of the game :D) I've tried by now yours shine spectacularly... It's quite fun to play (not easy, but also not superhard as some others) and I didn't mind that much that I died here and there and had to restart (which is to say something...:) Art reminded me zx spectrum (color changing was excelent idea) and your sounds are good and fitting, especially considering you made them on your mouth :)
One of the best entries I've rated.

Three games in one is an awesome idea, but it is infuriating knowing your going to die on one. Perhaps that's not a bad thing though...
It also would have been nice if the levels had started out a bit easier and got harder as you played.

Really nice. Would benefit greatly from a visual cue other than the timer bar to signal a change, like perhaps a global flash of the screen before flipping, as the sudden change would sometimes cause an unnecessary death.

Probably the most innovative game I've seen so far.

Loved this a ton. Visual style was spot on in a VVVVVV stylee and the switching form game to game was lovely. I'd actually like the timer to have sped up as the game reaches a climax actually, increasing in pace, piling on the pressure.

Great game. I hope you continue developing this one.

I just got to 129!! (And was informed on Twitter that apparently due to a game bug there 129/130 == 100%?!) This game consumed a surprising amount of my last few weeks, I have to admit that once I found this game I stopped playing many other LD21 entries because I was playing this too much. My new copy of "Catherine" is gathering dust because I was playing this instead. There are a lot of things in here that are crack for addictive personalities ^_^
