Qua-tzar is a simultaneous turn based multiplayer game. The object of the game is to get your BITs to your spaceship on the other side of the game board. Each player has three action points to use on movement during their turn. Once both players have input their commands both sets of commands happen simultaneously.

Do not look at the screen when your opponent is entering their commands. Try to predict where your opponent's pieces will move to block and capture them.

Kinda hard to test the gameplay without someone close to test the hot seat multiplayer :(
And undo for your move would be very welcome.

Interesting concept, though undo would indeed be welcome. Feature request: implement a friend. *sheds a tear*

Tried it with a friend, found severall bugs:
whe a TZAR steps on a field, a BIT just left, it still captures the BIT (sometimes).
BITs and TZAR can travel through each other at a border between two fields.

Interesting concept, though. Some thoughts for improvement:

I would probably have given each player 4 or 5 points and limited the movement of each token.

You should consider to forbid DOMs to step on the field right in front of the door instead of turning collision off, it looks like BITs just vanish, but they are still there.

A network feature would really improve it, because you wouldn't have too look away and players could plan they're turns simultaneously.

Thanks for trying the game everyone! I was planning to implement networking but I ran out of time. I can't believe I forgot to fix the undo feature though. You can undo moves by clicking on a piece again but only if you have action points left.

@Rudy: I wish I could implement a friend. I only had a chance to play it once with a friend half way through the competition.

@Rialgar: I'm really glad you tried it with a friend. Pieces can travel through each other as long as they don't land on the same space. If a BIT is cornered by a TZAR, you can attempt to move to where the TZAR is and avoid capture. However, if your opponent doesn't move your BIT will die.

Thanks for the suggestions. I will try your suggestion of giving players more action points and limiting them per token.

I didn't explain this properly but you can score from any square on the back row, not just the one in front of the door.

Very nice concept, though the other player could see my moves? Would benefit greatly from a "hidden turn" feature.

Glad to see that some developers still think about local multiplayer :-) (Turn based games can be life savers under the right conditions)

The concept is interesting but is a shame that I need somebody here to play it properly.

Nice concept and implementation. As others said, online multiplayer or AI would be neat, but hey you only had 48 hours! Nice graphics. I didn't really get the difference between the Tzars and the Doms...

I can't really play it without an AI opponent. Nice board game type of concept.
