Rescape by Staneh

Well, I made this game, it's not very good, but I hope you guys like it.
You will need XNA, Content folder is all of the images I used, the LudumDareEntry folder is all of the source code.
Extract both the content folder and the rescape.exe to a folder, and run rescape.exe to start the game.
Thanks for playing.

It's a good start :). I've tried XNA in a game jam before and I know that it's a bold choice in engine. This game could really use some sound as well as a little more polish (like the main character still being around in the end screen :/)

Sadly there's not much to like here... first level is simple "adventure" (knife in the sink in the prison cell, sigh...), combat scene in second level isn't combat at all... There are worse games entered in the Ludum Dare, but not much of them. Better luck next time.

Intro cutscene is far too long, the game is too short and easy. It's not a bad start in game programming, but using XNA seems like wasting resources (though it really depends on how familiar are you with coding, etc. - hard to tell since you didn't write _anything_ in your journal). You could do a lot better, but I will assume you did your best. There are worse games in the compo.

I can't play it. I start the game, but I don't see anything, not even a window. In the task manager, I can see the rescape.exe process one or two seconds and then it ends without any error message.
