Escape the Dots by PeerM

[raw]
made by PeerM for LD21 (-)
my First Ludum Dare entry and my 3rd game ever. It's am little game where you try to escape different coloured dots and make them explode by steering into each other. You try to escape them until to many of them crashed into you, then you lose and you can write down your score.

The Best thing about this game is the fun I had while making it in this competition.

-Game made with Visual Studio C# 2010 Express edtion and
Xna Game Studio 4

-sound made with "sfxr - sound effect generator by DrPetter"

-graphics made with paint.net

Site note:
Before you start the game make sure you have .net Framework 4 and xna version 4 installed.
If not there are installers for both of these are included in the Package.

Very nice third game and Ludum Dare entry! It's really simple and fun, that's always a nice way to go. :) Also, it's worth noting that the effect it plays when you are hit is really neat. Good job!

Well the theme application was kind of weird and the game was just dodge getting shot at by homing bullets. These kind of endless games just do not resonate well with me.

Scored 710 on my first go, not sure if it's good or bad.

Very dynamic and controls are tight. But gameplay lacks depth, gets repetitive quick. Graphics are simple, and not sure anything more is needed really.

Surprisingly fun, for as sparse as it is. Controls feel great, too. With a huge swarm of dots behind me, it feels a bit like geometry wars.

More "avoid" the dots than escape, but nonetheless I had fun trying :-D
